A hand-held knockout punch driver includes a housing, a motor positioned within the housing, a head unit removably coupled to the housing, the head unit including a body, an input member movable relative to the body, and a draw rod to which at least one of a punch or a die is attachable. The draw rod is configured to move axially relative to the body in response to movement of the input member relative to the body. A quick-release mechanism removably couples the body to the housing and includes radially inward-extending locking members on one of the housing or the head unit and a plurality of radially outward-extending locking members on the other of the housing or the head unit engageable with the radially inward-extending locking members to lock the head unit to the housing.

Control of a cutting tool

An example system includes a cutting tool and a device configured to remotely control the cutting tool. The device is configured to establish a wireless communication with the cutting tool, and the cutting tool is configured to send a first signal to the device indicating that the cutting tool is enabled to be operated remotely responsive to the cutting tool receiving information indicating that a trigger is locked in an “on” state and a remote switch is in a first position. The device is configured to send a second signal to the cutting tool indicating a request to cause the cutting tool to perform a cutting operation responsive to receiving information indicative of actuation of at least one button of a user interface of the device.

A slicing machine cuts slices of cutting material. The blade is mounted directly on a bearing shaft arranged in the drive motor for the circular blade. The drive motor includes at a stator and rotor, which is detachable from the stator. The stator is in the machine housing. The machine housing has an insertion opening where, in the assembled state, the stator is arranged and through which the rotor is at least partially inserted into the stator. The slicing machine has an attachment device comprising at least one fastener that is configured to fasten the rotor and the stator to the machine housing.

A bundle breaker has upstream and downstream breaking supports each having an input end and an output end. A first platen is located above the upstream breaking support, and a second platen is located above the downstream breaking support, and each platen has an actuator for moving the respective platen toward and away from the breaking supports to selectively clamp a log between the platens and the breaking supports. A third actuator is configured to apply a shifting force to the downstream breaking support to shift the input end of the downstream breaking support relative to the output end of the upstream breaking support from a first position toward a second position to break the second portion of the log from the first portion of the log. The first actuator and/or the second actuator and/or the third actuator includes at least one servo motor.
