Method and application unit (3) for applying a sound-absorbing material (2) to an inner cavity of a pneumatic tyre (1). The following steps are provided: eliminating an excess end (5) of a strip (4) of sound-absorbing material (2); progressively separating a protective lining (7) from an adhesive layer (6) of the strip (4) as the strip (4) of sound-absorbing material (2) is applied to the inner cavity of the tyre; implementing by means of the strip (4) a separation opening (8) that starts from an opposite side of the protective lining (7) and ends at the protective lining (7) which remains intact, and separating the excess end (5) from the remaining part of the strip (4) of sound-absorbing material (2); and pulling the excess end (5) in relation to the remaining part of the strip such as to separate the protective lining (7) from the strip (4).
Method for manufacturing a wound dressing and a wound dressing
A method for manufacturing a wound dressing having a substrate, and a wound dressing manufactured by such a method are described. The method has a step of providing a sacrificial layer of material to be perforated by means of a hot pin perforator, in order to remove any molten residues on the heated pins of the hot pin perforator, before the same pins are used to make holes in the substrate. The presented method is cost effective, robust and reduces the risk of contaminating substances being embedded in the substrate during the hole making process.
Method for manufacturing a wound dressing and a wound dressing
A method for manufacturing a wound dressing having a substrate, and a wound dressing manufactured by such a method are described. The method has a step of providing a sacrificial layer of material to be perforated by means of a hot pin perforator, in order to remove any molten residues on the heated pins of the hot pin perforator, before the same pins are used to make holes in the substrate. The presented method is cost effective, robust and reduces the risk of contaminating substances being embedded in the substrate during the hole making process.

A method for manufacturing a sheet 1 for use in a tongue plaque cleaner for scraping off tongue plaque, includes: a step of heating a sheet material having multiple looped thread members 2 protruding from one surface of the sheet material, at a temperature below the melting point of the thread members 2; and a step of forming first thread members 3, 8 and second thread members 4, 9 by cutting loops of the thread members 2 heated.

The cutter-holder storage module is configured for carrying a plurality of cutter holders. The cutter storage module is configured for carrying a plurality of cutters. The temporary cutter-holder placement module includes a temporary cutter-holder placement structure configured for carrying the cutter holder. The cutter-holder heating module is configured for heating the cutter holder that is carried by the temporary cutter-holder placement structure. The assembly storage module includes a plurality of assembly placement structures. Each of the assembly placement structures is configured for carrying a cutter and cutter-holder matching assembly including the cutter and the cutter holder that are matched with each other.

In one form, at least one blade portion and associated groove portion are non-linear and other than longitudinal or transverse to the film support surface of the forming drum or travelling web of films. The blade portions may be heated and the rotary blade drum assembly may include insulating guides for the pouches.
