APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR CUTTING CLOSURES FOR CONTAINERS
A cutting method and apparatus for closures of the “tethered” type are disclosed, in which a spindle that carries a closure is moved to a cutting device with one or more horizontal blades and at least one vertical or oblique blade. During cutting, the spindle rotates and the closure rolls on the cutting device. The spindle, which is fed several times to the cutting device carrying each time a different closure, comprises a portion made of a softer material than the blades so that during cutting the blades penetrate the material of the closure and then sink into the softer portion of the spindle. Feeding the spindle that carries the closure to the cutting device is coordinated with rotation of the spindle so that the vertical or oblique blade, each time that the spindle is fed to the cutting device, always meets the same zone of the softer portion of the spindle.

Cap for a container, combination of a cap and a neck of the container and its production method
A cap includes a lateral wall extending about an axis and a transversal wall positioned at one end of the lateral wall, a separation line being provided on the lateral wall to define a retaining ring; a closing element removably engageable with the neck, so as to open or close the container; the separation line extends about an axis and being circumferentially interrupted to leave the retaining ring and the closing element joined; wherein the retaining ring comprises a joining portion, a first connecting band, and a second connecting band; a tab, interposed between the first connecting band and the second connecting band and being protruding, or aligned with respect to it, so that, when the closing element is in an open condition and the connecting bands keep the closing element connected to the retaining ring, the tab can rest on the neck.
KNIFE FOR MAKING INCISIONS ON CAPS
A knife is described that is arranged for being fitted in a cutting apparatus for obtaining incision lines and notches on a cap made of plastics intended for closing a container, the knife being suitable for making notches and incisions on a side wall of the cap when the cap, by rotating around a rotation axis thereof, is moved along a path for interacting with the knife in an advancement direction, the knife including a plurality of tools arranged in a layered structure, wherein the cutting tools are parallel to a plane and stacked in a direction of a vertical axis orthogonal to the plane, the layered structure including: a first horizontal cutting tool arranged for performing circumferential notches on the side wall at a first height on the vertical axis to determine in use a tamperproof ring and a main body in the cap; a second horizontal cutting tool arranged for performing further circumferential notches on the side wall at a second height on the vertical axis that is different from the first height; and a transverse cutting tool arranged for making at least one transverse notch, where “transverse” means transverse to the plane, to determine in use together with the second horizontal cutting tool and the first horizontal cutting tool a tab portion on the main body, the tab portion being arranged for maintaining the main body overturned with respect to said tamperproof ring once said container is opened, wherein the transverse cutting tool includes at least two transverse cutting edges, each transverse cutting edge extending substantially vertically.
APPARATUS FOR PRODUCING HOLLOW PANELS AND METHOD OF OPERATING SAME
A system for punching slots in a hollow elongate panel. The system includes: a die matrix configured to be receivable within the hollow elongate panel, the die matrix including at least one locating aperture and at least one matrix void. The system includes a punching apparatus including at least one punch configured to be extended through corresponding matrix voids of the die matrix to punch one or more slots at the wall of the hollow panel. The system includes a sensing apparatus including at least one sensing pin configured to be extended towards the at least one locating aperture of the die matrix. The punching apparatus may be configured to punch the one or more slots at a downstream wall portion the hollow elongate panel in response to the sensing apparatus determining that the at least one sensing pin is received within a corresponding locating aperture of the die matrix.
Hygienic tissue paper
A hygienic tissue paper includes first slits that are disposed in a longitudinal direction at predetermined intervals, the first slits extending in a width direction intersecting the longitudinal direction, wherein the first slits each include perforations, and wherein a cut length of each of the perforations increases from at least one end in the width direction toward a central portion in the width direction.

APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING A LOCKING RING ON A CLOSURE CAP FOR A CONTAINER
The invention relates to an apparatus for producing a locking ring on a closure cap for a container, which apparatus comprises a stationary cutting knife with a cutting blade extending along a cutting path, the cutting profile of which cutting blade corresponds to a slot geometry, to be created in a lateral surface of a closure cap blank, between a main part of the closure cap and the locking ring. Furthermore, the apparatus comprises a transport device for transporting the closure cap blank along the cutting path, wherein the transport device has a supporting mandrel for supporting the lateral surface of the closure cap blank such that the lateral surface is rolled over the cutting blade during a cutting operation, wherein the supporting mandrel has a rotatable mount, with which it is mounted so as to be rotatable about an axis of rotation oriented perpendicularly to the cutting path. The invention is distinguished by the fact that, in a supporting portion of the supporting mandrel, which is located opposite the cutting blade during the cutting operation, a groove geometry is formed, which corresponds at least to the slot geometry to be created, wherein the apparatus comprises a synchronization device by means of which a forward feed of the transport device along the cutting path is able to be synchronized with a rotational movement of the supporting mandrel about the axis of rotation. The invention also relates to an arrangement comprising such an apparatus and to a method to be carried out on such an arrangement.
