METHOD AND STATION FOR CONVERTING A FLAT SUBSTRATE
A method for converting a flat substrate (W) in a station (3) for converting a flat substrate (W) that includes a rotary cutting unit (9) and at least one rotary deformation unit (7, 8) positioned upstream of the rotary cutting unit (9) in the direction of movement (L) of the flat substrate (W), the method including: determining the conversion parameters of the flat substrate (W), such as the deformation layout and cutting layout; choosing a sleeve (13) carrying a form for carrying out the deformation depending on the deformation layout; mounting the sleeve (13) on a mandrel (12) in the rotary deformation unit (7, 8); choosing the cutting tools (91, 92) depending on the cutting layout; mounting the cutting tools (91, 92) in the rotary cutting unit (9); and starting the conversion of the flat substrate (W).
Die-cut lid and associated container and method
A die-cut lid for closing a container is formed from a flexible composite sheet material. The lid comprises a functional area bearing human-readable and/or machine-readable data. One or more rigidifying indentations are provided on the lid to promote flatness of the functional area in a resting state of the lid. The one or more rigidifying indentations can be in the form of one or more encircling indentations that border the functional area; and/or a planar indentation that encompasses the functional area.
Foodstuff crafting apparatus, components, assembly, and method for utilizing the same
A crafting apparatus that performs work on a workpiece is disclosed. The workpiece includes, for example, an edible foodstuff material. In an embodiment, the edible foodstuff material includes nutritional value and is consumable by, for example, human beings, animals or the like.
Tool Set for Manufacturing Adhesive Patches, Method of Manufacturing an Adhesive Patch and Adhesive Layering
A tool set for manufacturing adhesive patches, by processing laminate web. The tool set includes a cutting tool having a cutting face lying in a cutting plane, and an embossing tool having a pressing face lying in a pressing plane, where the cutting plane and the pressing plane are parallel. The embossing tool is configured to press an edge area shape of the adhesive patch to be manufactured, and the cutting tool is configured to cut out the adhesive patch to be manufactured by cutting in edge area or outside the edge area. Furthermore, a method of manufacturing adhesive patches. The method essentially includes a feeding step, a pressing step and cutting step. Lastly an adhesive layering having a backing layer and an adhesive matrix layer. The backing layer having a larger size than the adhesive matrix layer.
FOLDING SPOON, METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MANUFACTURING SUCH FOLDING SPOON
Various embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to a folding spoon apparatus and a method of manufacturing a folding spoon. In one example embodiment, a folding spoon is disclosed including a planar blank and a plurality of scores disposed on said planar blank. The planar blank has along a longitudinal axis a handle portion with a front lateral edge and a bowl portion with a rear lateral edge. The plurality of scores including a longitudinal handle folding line extending from said front lateral edge, along said longitudinal axis, towards a rear lateral edge opposite said front lateral edge and terminating in the bowl portion, or two longitudinal handle folding lines provided on said planar blank symmetrically in relation to the longitudinal axis. The handle portion includes a first lateral folding line, and a cut out forming a retainer flap.
Crafting dies
The invention relates to a die for cutting a shape or pattern from a material, the die being composed of a base plate (1) comprising an upper surface (2) and a lower surface (3). The die comprises one or more raised edges (4) in the form of a pattern or shape to be die-cut or embossed, on each of the upper and lower surfaces, such that the die can be used to die-cut or emboss two sheets of material simultaneously.
System and method for installing and using graphical dies
A system and method for aligning and installing graphical dies onto an embossing press or foil stamping press is provided. The system includes a number of die support panels having a number of threaded openings disposed in columns and rows in a grid like fashion and identified with x and y axis indicia. The system also includes a number of dies with a number of apertures each identified with a pair of x and y axis indicia. Fasteners and indicia are used to align and attach the dies to the die support panels in a predetermined position. The system preferable further comprises one or more adjusters used to make minute positioning adjustments to the die after it is installed on the panel.
Die-cut lid and associated container and method
A die-cut lid (20) for closing a container is disclosed; the lid being formed from a flexible composite sheet material (30). The lid comprises a functional area (70) bearing human-readable and/or machine-readable data with the lid comprising one or more rigidifying indentations (50) to promote flatness of the functional area in a resting state of the lid. The one or more rigidifying indentations are selected from the group of: i) one or more encircling indentations that border the functional area; and/or ii) a planar indentation that encompasses the functional area. A lidded container (1) comprising such a die-cut lid and a method of forming a die-cut lid are also described.
