Tool designed to dis-assemble face masks such that the mask fabric can be recycled. This tool separates mask materials such that the fabric and other components of the masks can be recycled. The tool has a punching element that pushes through the fabric of the mask and only removed the materials other than fabric from the mask. Mask can be simply be inserted in the tool for the separating operation. This tool can dis-assemble single or multiple masks in one operation cycle.

Systems and methods for end-to-end article management

Systems and methods are described for managing articles. The systems and methods described herein may comprise an example method for manufacturing an article. The systems and methods provides an end-to-end manufacturing value chain as a closed system and feedback loop.

Automated Bi-Stable Valve System and Method of Using the Same for Composite Manufacturing

There is provided an automated bi-stable valve system. The system includes a bi-stable valve mechanism with bi-stable valves. Each of the bi-stable valves is configured to switch between a valve closed state and a valve open state. The system includes a control system coupled to the bi-stable valve mechanism and configured to operably control the bi-stable valve mechanism. The control system includes, (i) at least one traversable bridge apparatus, and (ii) a valve switch mechanism attached to the traversable bridge apparatus, and movable, via the traversable bridge apparatus, over the bi-stable valves. The valve switch mechanism is configured to switch the bi-stable valve(s) between the valve closed state and the valve open state, to allow for selective control of one or more adhesion zones on the bi-stable valve mechanism. The adhesion zone(s) correspond to adhesion area(s) on a surface of a material to be selectively picked up and placed.

METHOD FOR REALISING ARTICLES HAVING A PREDETERMINED AREA AND AESTHETIC APPEARANCE, AND AN APPARATUS FOR ACTUATING THE METHOD.

A method for realising articles having a predetermined area and aesthetic appearance, which includes using frames (1A, 1B, 1C) to each of which a portion (P1, P2, P3) of material having a prevalent flat extension can be removably hooked, comprising, in order, following steps: hooking a first portion (P1) of the material to a first frame (1A); carrying out, on the first portion (P1) hooked to the first frame, punching (G1) and stitching (G2) operations; carrying out, on the first portion (P1) hooked to the first frame (1A), cutting operations (G3) for defining a corresponding article (A) having predetermined area and aesthetic appearance defined by the combination of the profile of the article and by the mutual arrangement of the punching (G1) and the stitching (G2); releasing the article (A), and relative scrap (Z),from the first frame (1A).

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR AUTOMATIC CUTTING OF PIECES IN A FLEXIBLE MATERIAL PACKAGED IN ROLL FORM
20230330880 · 2023-10-19 ·

A method and a system are provided for automatically cutting parts in a flexible material packaged in a roll. The method and system include the successive steps of preparing an initial placement, spreading a layer of flexible material on a cutting table, starting the automatic cutting of the parts in the material spread according to the initial placement, during the cutting, upon receipt of a triggering event for which the placement of at least one of the parts is no longer adapted to the cutting environment or for which the list of the parts of the initial placement needs to be modified, preparing a list of parts to be maintained, and automatically preparing a new placement taking into account the position of the parts to be maintained and calculating new positions for at least some of the other parts without taking into account their positions in the initial placement.
