The composite cutting wire comprises a first wire (1209) which is thicker, braided, high-strength, low electrical resistance joined with a second wire 1201 which is having high-electrical resistance (NiChrome) wherein the first wire (1209) and second wire (1201) are joined by manual twisting/welding and the first wire (1209) is capable of withstanding bending cycles moving over threaded/grooved rod (1203) and oscillated along its length by to-fro rotation of splined shaft (1204).
Apparatuses and methods for producing a shower tray
The method of producing a shower tray using a shower tray blank is disclosed. The method may comprise identifying a drain location on the shower tray blank. The method may further comprise deflecting the shower tray blank at an internal location relative to a shower tray perimeter of the shower tray blank along the depth dimension to a deflected state. The method may also comprise cutting the shower tray blank along a plane generally perpendicular to a depth dimension of the shower tray blank when the shower tray blank is in the deflected state to form the shower tray and a discarded portion. An apparatus for producing a shower tray is also disclosed.
Off-Center Parachute Flight Termination System (FTS)
Systems, devices, and methods including: a latching mechanism comprising: a first latch configured to attach to a door of an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV); a second latch configured to attach to a portion of the UAV distal from the first latch; a string connected between the first and second latch, where the string secures the door shut; at least two radio modules in communication with a ground control station; and at least two burn wires in contact with a portion of the string between the first latch and the second latch; where current from a backup battery passes to at least one burn wire when the burn signal is received, where the burn wire causes the connection between the first latch and the second latch to be broken and the door of the UAV is separated from the UAV.
HANDHELD RAPID HEATING DEVICE FOR CUTTING AND ADHERING THIN FILM
The present invention provides a handheld rapid heating device for cutting and adhering a thin film, which includes a housing, a power supply module, and an electric heating module. The housing is formed with an opening. The power supply module is arranged in the housing. The electric heating module receives power from the power supply module, and includes an electrically heating wire. The electrically heating wire extends at least partially out of the opening of the housing, and is configured to he suitable for heating and thus melting an area of at least one thin film.
Insulated Wall Panels & Turcotte Sculptor
Insulated, load bearing wall panels are machined from a raw foam slab of foam material. The raw foam slab is loaded into a Turcotte sculptor. The Turcotte sculptor is an elegant 36-axis machine that machines the raw foam slab into one or more insulated foam wall panels. The Turcotte sculptor, in particular, may accept very large 18x4x2 feet slabs of foam material. The Turcotte sculptor then individually commands and actuates any of 36 linear actuators to produce the one or more insulated foam wall panels. The Turcotte sculptor, within minutes, simultaneously machines the raw 18x4x2 foam slab into two (2) 9-feet tall wall panels for 9-feet ceilings. The Turcotte sculptor may easily machine other wall sizes. The Turcotte sculptor thus efficiently and quickly volume produces entire one-piece, single-height insulated wall panels at reduced cost and with outstanding energy performance.

SOLAR MODULE RECYCLING AND TESTING
Embodiments relate to one or more techniques that may be employed alone or in combination, in the refurbishment or recycling of used solar modules. In certain approaches, a (heated) wire may be used to cut through one or more layers (e.g., front encapsulant, back encapsulant, both front and back encapsulant, backsheet) of a solar module that is being recycled or refurbished. Some approaches may employ testing of a used solar module, alone or in combination with information (e.g., as part of a received package) regarding parameters of a used solar module such as panel size, width, length, height, thickness of glass, or others. According to specific embodiments, used solar modules may be subjected to various cleaning processes at one or more points during refurbishment/recycling.
Off-center parachute flight termination system including latch mechanism disconnectable by burn wire
Systems, devices, and methods including: a latching mechanism comprising: a first latch configured to attach to a door of an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV); a second latch configured to attach to a portion of the UAV distal from the first latch; a string connected between the first and second latch, where the string secures the door shut; at least two radio modules in communication with a ground control station; and at least two burn wires in contact with a portion of the string between the first latch and the second latch; where current from a backup battery passes to at least one burn wire when the burn signal is received, where the burn wire causes the connection between the first latch and the second latch to be broken and the door of the UAV is separated from the UAV, and where the parachute is deployed when the door of the UAV is separated from a rest of the UAV.
