Tool unit and switchable tool system for a tool unit
A tool unit includes a tool head, a motor and a switching drive for the head. The head has a first section with first blades and a second section with second blades. The second section is movable to and fro between a passive and an active position relative to the first section, the second blades being retracted in the passive position, and the second blades projecting axially beyond the first blades in the active position. The drive includes an electromagnet and an actuating armature made from magnetically attractable material and is arranged in the region of action of the electromagnet. The electromagnet is positioned between the head and the motor and is fastened to a housing part of the motor such that it cannot be rotated. The armature is connected fixedly to the second section. A gap remains between the electromagnet and the armature in the passive and active position.
Milling tool holder and milling tool
Milling tool holder which comprises a first holder part, a second holder part, and a locking mechanism. The first holder part comprises a first cutting insert receptacle for receiving a first cutting insert and a second cutting insert receptacle for receiving a second cutting insert. The second holder part which, for adjusting a milling width, is variably positionable with respect to the first holder part along a longitudinal axis, comprises a third cutting insert receptacle for receiving a third cutting insert and a fourth cutting insert receptacle for receiving a fourth cutting insert. The locking mechanism is configured to fix the first and second holder parts to the adjusted milling width. The first holder part and the second holder part are positioned with respect to one another in such a manner that the third cutting insert receptacle is arranged in the circumferential direction between the first cutting insert receptacle and the second cutting insert receptacle, and that the second cutting insert receptacle is arranged in the circumferential direction between the third cutting insert receptacle and the fourth cutting insert receptacle.
Splitter profiler
In various embodiments, a splitter profiler apparatus may include at least one profiler head and at least one circular saw mounted to a common arbor. The circular saw may be mounted to a saw arm, and the saw arm may be coupled with an actuator that is selectively operable to move the circular saw along the arbor. The circular saw may be used in a profiling position, in which the circular saw and profiler head are in close proximity, such that the profiler head and circular saw function collectively to form a sideboard edge with a sawn finish. The circular saw may also be used in a splitting position, in which the circular saw is at a distance from the profiler, to divide the sideboard into narrower sideboards before the sideboards are sawn from the primary workpiece. Corresponding methods and systems are also described herein.

A rotary tool assembly is described including a tool arrangement with two ring-shaped tool holders, two tool bodies each fixed to a respective tool holder, two adjusting screws each coupled to two threaded bushings in opposite directions each fixed to a respective tool holder, two transmission shafts each configured to drive a rotation of a respective adjusting screw, and a crown arrangement configured to transmit motion from a motor arrangement to the transmission shafts, the crown arrangement including a ring and a rotatably ring gear coupled to the ring and arranged to receive motion from the motor arrangement and to transfer motion to both transmission shafts.
MILLING TOOL HOLDER AND MILLING TOOL
Milling tool holder which comprises a first holder part, a second holder part, and a locking mechanism. The first holder part comprises a first cutting insert receptacle for receiving a first cutting insert and a second cutting insert receptacle for receiving a second cutting insert. The second holder part which, for adjusting a milling width, is variably positionable with respect to the first holder part along a longitudinal axis, comprises a third cutting insert receptacle for receiving a third cutting insert and a fourth cutting insert receptacle for receiving a fourth cutting insert. The invention relates to a multi-profile milling apparatus (10) for machining workpieces that are preferably made of wood, wood materials, plastic, composite material and/or the like, in particular for machining edges of the workpieces, having a first milling device (11) which has at least one first milling tool (18) with a first machining profile (19), wherein the first milling device (11) is provided in an operating position and can be coupled to a drive shaft (13), and having at least one second milling device (12) which has at least one second milling tool (21) with a second machining profile (22), wherein the at least one second milling device (12) is movable relative to the first milling device (11) between a use position (24) and a non-use position (23), characterized in that a locking device (27) having at least one centrifugal element (28, 29) is provided and the at least one centrifugal element (28, 29) locks the at least one second milling device (12) in the use position (24) or the non-use position (23) during a rotating movement of the milling devices (11, 12), as well as a machining device (20).
