Milling tool holder and milling tool
Milling tool holder which comprises a first holder part, a second holder part, and a locking mechanism. The first holder part comprises a first cutting insert receptacle for receiving a first cutting insert and a second cutting insert receptacle for receiving a second cutting insert. The second holder part which, for adjusting a milling width, is variably positionable with respect to the first holder part along a longitudinal axis, comprises a third cutting insert receptacle for receiving a third cutting insert and a fourth cutting insert receptacle for receiving a fourth cutting insert. The locking mechanism is configured to fix the first and second holder parts to the adjusted milling width. The first holder part and the second holder part are positioned with respect to one another in such a manner that the third cutting insert receptacle is arranged in the circumferential direction between the first cutting insert receptacle and the second cutting insert receptacle, and that the second cutting insert receptacle is arranged in the circumferential direction between the third cutting insert receptacle and the fourth cutting insert receptacle.
Cutter Head Assembly for a Wood Planing Machine
A cutter head assembly includes a drive shaft, a blade carrier and a blade unit. The drive shaft has a longitudinal axis and is made of steel. The blade carrier is sleeved and retained on the drive shaft. The blade carrier has a length extending parallel to the longitudinal axis and is made of aluminum alloy. The blade unit is disposed on the blade carrier and surrounds the longitudinal axis.

Cutter head assembly for a knife planer
A cutter head assembly for a planing apparatus comprises a rotatable cutter head body, at least a first slot and a gib assembly positionable in the first slot to retain a planing knife blade. The cutter head body has a first end, an opposite second end and an outer periphery extending between the first and second ends in a longitudinal direction. The first slot is formed in the outer periphery and extends generally longitudinally. A section of the first slot has at least one profiled side and an opposite knife blade side. The gib assembly is positionable to retain a knife blade in the first slot adjacent the knife blade side. The gib assembly comprises an elongate gib having a section with a shaped leading side and an opposite trailing side. A gib screw is rotatable to move the gib toward the knife blade and clamp it.

WOOD CHIPPER KNIFE
A wood chipper knife includes a knife body and, in relation to a vertical axis of the wood chipper knife, at least one cutter side, which comprises a top cutting edge portion and a bottom cutting edge portion that intersect to form a cutting edge. The bottom cutting edge portion includes a planar wood attacking portion, which begins at the cutting edge and towards the knife body is followed by a recess. The recess is a pressure release recess, which, from the wood attacking portion, abruptly falls to a bottom of the pressure release recess, and which stretches from the wood attacking portion to the knife body. The knife body comprises a chip guiding portion, which, from the pressure release recess, rises towards the knife body.
Tool head and method for inserting and clamping a cutting insert, and cutting insert
The invention relates to a tool head for a woodworking machine, having a cylindrical, conical or profiled main part, which has at least two tool-receiving portions evenly distributed across its circumference for holding the cutting insert. The tool-receiving portions each have grooves tapering in the radial direction, in which one cutting insert per groove is clamped between a first side wall of the groove and a closing element. A first interlocking connection is provided between the cutting insert and the first side wall. In addition, a centrifugal wedge is arranged between the closing element and a second side wall situated opposite the first side wall of the groove. According to the invention, a second interlocking connection is provided between the closing element and the centrifugal wedge. This permits radial insertion of a cutting insert.

System of chipper knives and knife stops
A disc chipper has thick double-edged chipper blades clamped in rectangular pockets between a knife segment and a knife clamp which are connected to a chipper disc. The blades are precisely positioned for cutting by knife stops selected from a set of knife stops of incremental modular widths. A different width knife stop is used to position the chipper knife blades each time it is sharpened. After each sharpening the knife blade has a selected width which is smaller by a constant incremental value, and it is assembled with a mating knife stop from the set so that the blade edge position remains unchanged.
