Mould for thin sample casting
20220379519 · 2022-12-01 ·

Mould for casting of thin samples made of cement-based materials, for a maximum of 10 small samples (10×10×2 mm or ⅜×⅜× 1/16 inch), consists of a solid stainless steel base plate, stainless steel upper frame-plates and thin plastic foil. The stainless steel frame plates of various lengths are assembled on the base plate and fastened with screws to form a frame with 10 free spaces (‘cells’) into which the concrete/cementitious material is poured. The thickness (2 mm or 1/16 inch) of the thin frame plates determines the thickness of the cast samples. Plastic transparent foil is placed over the surface of the base plate for easier sample removal. The advantages of the mould are: possibility of assembling and disassembling of all mould parts and hence safe sample removal after 24 hours, multiple usage as well as easy maintenance and cleaning.

SHEET FOR PROTECTING A FORMWORK SURFACE, FORMWORK INSTALLATION, METHOD OF PRODUCTION AND METHOD OF USE
20170247893 · 2017-08-31 ·

The invention relates to a sheet (10) for protecting a form-work surface, intended to surround a construction material. According to the invention, the sheet (10) comprises at least: a front layer, including at least one polymer material and provided to be in contact with the construction material so as to reduce wear and the formation of grooves on the framework surface and to limit adhesion of the construction material during removal of the formwork; and a rear adhesive layer, provided to be positioned against the formwork surface and rigidly connect the sheet (10) to the formwork surface before the construction material is introduced. The invention also relates to a formwork installation (1) equipped with at least one such sheet (10). The invention further relates to a method of producing and a method of using a sheet (10) of this type.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MANUFACTURING LIGHTWEIGHT CEMENT AND GYPSUM BOARD
20170246762 · 2017-08-31 ·

A method and device for producing lightweight panels with a core of gypsum or of cement and gypsum, with pores for decreasing volumetric weight, and with a covering made of cardboard or of a sheet of glass fibers. The production line does not change except for the addition of a device which forms closed hollow cavities within a suspension in an area where an upper sheet covers the suspension. Air pressure which is fed into the formed cavities is slightly higher than the hydraulic pressure of the suspension, so as to prevent the gaps being filled by the suspension. The layers are less thick, and the type and dimensions of the cavities and the thickness of the walls are varied depending on the desired qualities of the panels.

MOLD LINER ARRANGEMENT
20220032502 · 2022-02-03 · ·

A mould liner for a fabrication assembly is disclosed. The fabrication assembly is for fabricating an elongate concrete article in a substantially upright orientation and includes a core assembly and an outer mould assembly defining a mould cavity between the core assembly and an inner moulding surface of the outer mould assembly with the outer mould assembly being separable following casting of the elongate concrete article to strip the outer mould assembly from the elongate concrete article. The mould liner during casting forms an intermediate layer between the inner moulding surface of the outer mould assembly and the elongate concrete article being cast, wherein on stripping of the core and outer mould assemblies following casting, the mould liner is adapted to form an outer containment layer to the elongate concrete article.

PRECAST HOLLOW BLOCK WALL SYSTEM AND FORMS FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME
20170218622 · 2017-08-03 ·

What is provided is a precast hollow block, a precast wall system incorporating the precast hollow block, and forms for manufacturing a hollow block and a coping cap. Accordingly, the precast hollow block and its incorporation into a precast wall system provide solutions to current “level up” block coping techniques, wall flood protection, wall force protection, and the like. Instead of having mismatched or missing face textures on sloped portions of the wall, the precast wall system allows for easier installation of face-textured blocks directly at the top of the wall. As a result, the precast wall system may readily account for slope transitions of a wall, conform to specific Department of Transportation project requirements, accommodate existing wall construction specifications, and be easily customizable for a variety of applications.

Mold materials for formed ceramic

A mold apparatus to form a ceramic (or glass) includes a first mold portion having a first coefficient of thermal expansion and a second mold portion having a second coefficient of thermal expansion. In some embodiments, the first mold portion and/or the second mold portion are substantially immiscible with the ceramic material, such as silicon oxide, at a temperature greater than 600° C. In some embodiments, the first coefficient of thermal expansion and the second coefficient of thermal expansion are substantially similar to that of the glass or ceramic material. In some embodiments, the first coefficient of thermal expansion is different from the second coefficient of thermal expansion. In some embodiments, the first mold portion and the second mold portion contain a surface coating and a passivation layer.

A METHOD OF MAKING MOLDED PARTS HAVING SMOOTH SURFACE AND MOLDED PARTS MADE THEREOF

The invention relates to a method of making parts of construction materials by using a mold coated with multiple resin-based layers comprising at least an epoxy resin-based primer and a polyurethane resin-based demolding layer, wherein the mold can be used for multiple cycles after curing and demolding. The invention also relates to the resin-coated mold and the cured parts of construction materials having smooth surface made thereof.
