PROCESS FOR RAPID PROCESSING OF SiC AND GRAPHITIC MATRIX TRISO-BEARING PEBBLE FUELS
20170287577 · 2017-10-05 · ·

A method for producing microencapsulated fuel pebble fuel more rapidly and with a matrix that engenders added safety attributes. The method includes coating fuel particles with ceramic powder; placing the coated fuel particles in a first die; applying a first current and a first pressure to the first die so as to form a fuel pebble by direct current sintering. The method may further include removing the fuel pebble from the first die and placing the fuel pebble within a bed of non-fueled matrix ceramic in a second die; and applying a second current and a second pressure to the second die so as to form a composite fuel pebble.

Integrated Conductive Foam Core for Composite Processing
20170238367 · 2017-08-17 ·

The present disclosure is directed to a method for forming a cured composite component. The method includes laying one or more layers of uncured composite material onto a conductive core. An electric current is supplied to the conductive core to resistively heat the one or more layers of uncured composite material to a temperature sufficient to cure the one or more layers of uncured composite material into the cured composite component.

A mold frame for the production of molded pieces, comprising at least one mold cavity, the at least one mold cavity being defined by a plurality of mold walls, wherein at least one mold wall of the mold cavity is a mold wall that is displaceably attached to the mold frame, and comprising at least one heating element for heating at least a part of the mold frame.

METHOD OF PRODUCING PRECAST BUILDING PRODUCTS
20220018130 · 2022-01-20 · ·

An aspect concerns a method (10) of producing a precast building product. The method (10) includes providing a mould (26) to receive a pourable building substance to be cured. The method further includes the steps of pouring the building substance into the mould and allowing the poured building substance to cure inside the mould to form a sold mass body. The method further includes providing a wire-cutting assembly operatively associated with the mould and cutting the solid mass body inside the mould into separate building products.
