A mixing apparatus for preparing mortar has a screw conveyor for conveying dry material, such as a mixture of sand and cement, from a storage vessel to a mixing chamber. The mixing chamber has an inlet end, adapted to receive dry material from an outlet end of the screw conveyor, an outlet end for dispensing wet mortar, and a water feed between the inlet and outlet ends for delivering a metered flow or quantity of water into the mixing chamber. A mixing device within the mixing chamber mixes the dry material and water and controls passage of material from the inlet to the outlet end. The outlet end is located above said inlet end so the dry material falls under gravity from the outlet end into the mixing chamber, maintaining separation between the dry material in the screw conveyor and the wet material in the mixing chamber.

The chute comprises an elongate chute of generally u-shaped cross section fabricated from UHMWPe and comprising an upper end and a lower end, a plurality of reinforcing rods arranged along a length of and encased within the UHMWPe, one end of each of the rods adjacent the upper end and another end of each of the rods adjacent the lower end, a pair of u-shaped collars, an upper one of the collars adjacent the upper end and a lower one of the collars adjacent the lower end, and a fastener for securing each of the collars to their respective rod ends. A method of fabrication is also disclosed.

The storage bin is coupled to the frame and is disposed proximate to the bottom end of the mixing chamber, the storage bin receiving the mixture of the industrial powdered bulk material and the liquid. The transport mechanism is coupled to the frame and transports the mixing chamber and the storage bin.

The invention relates to a nozzle (10) for dispensing concrete, mortar or the like, comprising a housing (12) and a mixing chamber (14) which is arranged therein and is delimited by a circumferential wall (16) and extends along a longitudinal axis (L) at least between a supply opening (19) and an outlet opening (20); an actively driveable mixing device, which is arranged in the mixing chamber (14); and an exit opening (32), which is directly or indirectly flow-connected to the outlet opening (20) of the mixing chamber (14). At least one cavity (44; 44a, 44b), which extends axially and in the circumferential direction, is arranged around the circumferential wall (16) of the mixing chamber (14) and is in contact with the circumferential wall (16) and at least substantially surrounds the mixing chamber (14) in the circumferential direction. The circumferential wall (16) of the mixing chamber (14) consists of elastic material, which is adapted to deform dynamically into the at least one cavity (44; 44a, 44b) during operation of the nozzle. In this way, the formation of deposits on the circumferential wall (16) of the mixing chamber (14) is avoided.

Volumetric concrete mixing system, equipment, and method

A mobile volumetric concrete mixing system includes a suction system that vacuums up trench spoils while a trench is being cut. These trench spoils are then screened on-site for particle size to be reused and mixed with water, cement, and/or other admixtures at an auger mixer to form a backfill mixture. This backfill mixture may then be loaded into a hopper that continuously agitates the mixture so that the mixture does not harden before pouring. The agitating hopper is coupled to a discharge chute of the auger mixer and includes one or more augers disposed at various orientations that the backfill mixture is channeled through. From the agitating hopper, the backfill mixture is channeled to an applicator that moves along the trench and that enables the mixture to be quickly poured into the trench with little clean-up required.

The controller is configured to determine a state of the concrete mixer vehicle, determine a state of a mixture delivery system of a batch plant, obtain and apply a setpoint value to an actuator of the concrete mixer vehicle or the mixture delivery system, and activate the mixture delivery system to output material through the outlet of the mixture delivery system such that the material is deposited directly into the volume of the mixing drum to thereby directly charge the concrete mixer vehicle with material.

The one or more aggregate storage silos pour the concrete elements onto a conveyor based on quantity determination by a computer via a deductive scale. The conveyor transfers the concrete elements to a two-shaft mixer. An auger-fed hopper has an auger that is directly exposed to the contents inside the two-shaft mixer and transfers the contents inside the two-shaft mixer into the auger-fed hopper. A concrete pump has access to the auger-fed hopper and pumps the concrete inside the auger-fed hopper into a concrete output hose with a concrete output opening. A knuckle crane and/or hydraulic arms holds supersacks above the aggregate storage silos and the two-shaft mixer.
