Concrete composition and process

A concrete comprises in relative parts by weight: 100 of Portland cement; 0.25 to 9 of a defoamer; 0.001 to 6 of a surfactant; 0 to 230 of coarse gravel and/or fine gravel and/or shear enhancers; 0 to 85 of sand; 0 to 60 of a particulate pozzolanic or non-pozzolanic material or a mixture thereof having a mean particle size less than 15 micrometers; 0 to 80 of a particulate pozzolanic or non-pozzolanic material or a mixture thereof having a mean particle size between 15 to 88 micrometers; 0.3 to 18 of a water-reducing superplasticizer; 0 to 14 of polyethylene fibers; and 5 to 40 of water. An air mixing process using a tightly sealed mixing tool is used to thoroughly mix the constituents of the concrete before adding the water for curing. By adjusting relative parts in the composition, concretes of high and ultrahigh performance can be achieved efficiently.

Reclaim gate for a cement truck
09821317 · 2017-11-21 ·

A method and apparatus for separating components of wet cement. A reclaim gate includes a tumbler flange with a tumbler flange opening. A strainer having strainer openings passes sand, rinse water, and cement slurry while blocking cement aggregates. A fixed plate entraps the strainer in place. The fixed plate has a reclaim aperture aligned with the screen. A rotating turn plate having a matching reclaim aperture is adjacent the fixed plate. A gate actuator retains the turn plate adjacent the fixed plate such that the turn plate can turn to selectively align the turn plate aperture with the fixed plate aperture. In use the aggregates are blocked by the screen, the sand passes through and is filtered; the slurry passes through and is collected and settled. The aggregates, sand, and rinse water can be recovered.

PROCESS FOR PRODUCING A FOAM CERAMIC
20170283331 · 2017-10-05 ·

The present invention relates to a process for producing a foam ceramic comprising the steps: producing an aqueous suspension of a first mineral raw material; foaming the suspension with air while adding a foaming agent and a binder to form a light foam; mixing the light foam with a powder or slip of a second ceramic raw material to form a heavy foam; pouring the heavy foam into a mold; drying the molded heavy foam in the mold to form a solid foam; and firing the solid foam in the mold to form the foam ceramic.

Volumetric concrete mixing system, equipment, and method

A mobile volumetric concrete mixing system includes a suction system that vacuums up trench spoils while a trench is being cut. These trench spoils are then screened on-site for particle size to be reused and mixed with water, cement, and/or other admixtures at an auger mixer to form a backfill mixture. This backfill mixture may then be loaded into a hopper that continuously agitates the mixture so that the mixture does not harden before pouring. The agitating hopper is coupled to a discharge chute of the auger mixer and includes one or more augers disposed at various orientations that the backfill mixture is channeled through. From the agitating hopper, the backfill mixture is channeled to an applicator that moves along the trench and that enables the mixture to be quickly poured into the trench with little clean-up required.

Concrete mixing machine
11389990 · 2022-07-19 ·

A concrete mixing machine for indoor preparation of fluid concrete for disposition as flooring. The concrete mixing machine includes a mixer tank capable of mixing of twenty-three bags of concrete concurrently. Mixing propellers inside of the mixer tank attach to a shaft, whereby a hydraulic propeller drive motor rotationally moves the shaft, and the mixing propellers mix the concrete. The concrete mixing machine produces a large batch of concrete, and the concrete mixing machine moves and deposits the concrete for application using a flow control mechanism with a flow control mixer attached to the mixer tank that regulates concrete flow through a valve and chute and synchronizes with a flow control drive-wheel. The concrete mixing machine is hydraulically operated and self-propelled. The concrete mixing machine does not emit gases harmful to indoor air quality and thus is environmentally friendly.

Portable construction mixer
11446842 · 2022-09-20 · ·

A portable mixer that has a first auger, a second auger, a motor, a material loading location, where material may be loaded into the mixer, and a dispensing conduit. The motor powers both the first auger and second auger. Further, the second auger may rotate in a first rotational direction and a second rotational direction and the second auger substantially prevents material from exiting a dispensing conduit when the second auger rotates in the first rotational direction and the second auger distributes material through the dispensing conduit when the second auger rotates in the second rotational direction.

EMPTYING STATION FOR A FLEXIBLE INTERMEDIATE BULK CONTAINER
20210323712 · 2021-10-21 ·

An emptying station for a flexible intermediate bulk container (FIBC) is provided. The emptying station has a body having a front wall, a rear wall defining an aperture, and left and right side walls, the walls collectively defining a hopper for receiving particulate matter contained in the FIBC, at least one power source connected to the body, a lift assembly operatively connected to the at least one power source and to the body. The lift assembly moves the FIBC between lowered and raised positions. A cutter is connected to the body and is disposed in the hopper. The cutter is positioned for cutting a bottom of the FIBC when moved from the lowered position to the raised position. At least one mixer is connected to the body for mixing the particulate matter received in the hopper. The at least one mixer also conveys the particulate matter towards the rear wall.

A FILTER ELEMENT

The present disclosure is related to filter elements and more specifically to filter elements for removing dust from air. In an embodiment, an inventive filter element includes a housing having a first side and a second side, filter material in the housing, a space between the filter material and the first side of the housing for forming a suction chamber, and at least one hole in the first side, whereby the area within the circumference of the side of the filter material facing the first side of the housing is larger than the area of at least one hole.
