Dry Powder Blending
A system can include a dry powder mixing tank, a first powder input, a second powder input, a powder output, and a detection device. The first powder input and the second powder input can introduce powders containing different substances that become mixed in the dry powder mixing tank. The detection device can detect information about amounts of different substances in a blend of powder moved out of the tank by the powder output. In some aspects, portions of the blend that do not satisfy parameters for the blend can be diverted from a receptacle for the blend based on the detected information.
Limestone masonry veneer, resurfacing and aesthetic overlay compositions, methods of making and methods of use
A limestone based masonry veneer composition is described that may be molded, blown, sprayed, troweled, or otherwise applied to interior and exterior surfaces. The composition provides an aesthetic resurfacing, cladding and/or overlay coating. The composition is capable of being pigmented, textured, sculptedor otherwise formed into an aesthetic, realistic, architecture, suitable as a stone veneer, an example of which is Blown Stone, by Stone Coat. Texturing or sculpting may occur about 1 hour and up to about 12 hours after applying the composition. The final composition is hydrophobic and breathes. Air carbonation allows the formation of a predominantly very pure calcium carbonate or limestone when fully cured, which prevents mold and algae growth and allows for autogenous healing with an increase in unit weight over time, ensuring an overall high compressive strength that endures over time.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PLACING AND CIRCULATING CONCRETE
A system and method for placing and circulating concrete is disclosed. The system includes a hopper body, a feed auger, one or more circulating elements, a pump, a valve with two or more outlets, a return conduit, and two or more hoses. The hopper body of the system may additionally include a heat exchanger. Concrete slurry is placed into the hopper body, continuously circulated within the hopper body, and drawn from the hopper body by the pump and conveyed through the hoses, or through the return conduit, or both. Concrete slurry within the hoses may be returned to the hopper body.
