Method for the application of mineral binder compositions containing fibres

A method for the application of hydrous mineral binder compositions which contain fibres. An aqueous accelerator is mixed with the aqueous binder composition in a mixer shortly before the application. The method is very robust and makes it possible to quickly produce even large moulded bodies having a uniform surface and very good strength development properties.

CONCRETE PRODUCT AND METHODS OF PREPARING THE SAME

A concrete product set by pouring a concrete slurry includes a concrete mixture, an aluminum-coated colloidal silica admixture, and optionally, at least one reinforcing fiber selected from the group of fibers. As the poured concrete slurry cures, the poured slurry hardens into a composite material product, and the concrete product defines capillary structures that at least in part fill with aluminum-coated silica and lime. Optional graphene oxide may be used in the concrete slurry, in which embodiment the surrounding aggregate and cement is embedded with graphene oxide flakes. A process for placing a jointless and/or fiberless slab made from the concrete product includes preparing a concrete slurry, pouring the concrete slurry onto substrate, and allowing the concrete slurry to cure.

Method of Preparing a Gypsum-Based Product

A method of preparing a gypsum-based product comprises the steps of mixing calcined gypsum with polymer particles and water to provide a slurry. The polymer particles comprise principally polyvinyl acetate, and have a particle size distribution, measured using laser diffractometry, such that particles having a diameter of 4.5 μm or less provide at least 90% of the total particle volume.

LIGHT WEIGHT CERAMIC AGGREGATES MADE BY AGGLOMERATING CERAMIC FIBERS

A method of agglomerating bulk ceramic fibers includes mixing the bulk ceramic fibers with water to form wet fibers; mixing the wet fibers with a binder including an organic binder and/or an inorganic binder to form agglomerates; and drying the agglomerates. The agglomerates may be mixed with additional binders and fillers to form an insulating mix that may be used to insulate a furnace or other heat source. A foaming nozzle may be used for the application of agglomerates. A foaming agent and water are air atomized within the foaming nozzle and the resulting foam is mixed into pneumatically conveyed agglomerates, which result results in a lightweight refractory material layer on a target substrate.

Method and Device for Increasing the Force Required to Separate a Solidified Deformable Material into at Least Two Portions
20230356432 · 2023-11-09 ·

A method for increasing the force required to separate a solidified deformable material into at least two portions includes adding unmodified fibers and/or modified fibers having high tensile strength, high modulus of elasticity and high shock resistance to the deformable material; the modified fibers having surfaces with integral protuberances and/or attached silica particles emanating from each surface. The modified fibers, when mixed with the deformable material, ultimately form a solidified matrix having increased tensile strength (when compared to the solidified material without having the modified fibers) and increased resistance to separating into two or more portions when a force impacts or strikes a portion of the solidified deformable material.

A cement-based mixture comprises a polymeric fiber. The polymeric fiber may be obtained from a recycled vehicle tire. The cement-based mixture may comprise between 0.1% and 1.0% polymeric fiber by mass of cement. The cement-based mixture may comprise about 0.4% polymeric fiber by mass of cement. The cement-based mixture may be a mortar or a concrete. The polymeric fiber may be polyethylene-terephthalate.
