Method of making concrete
The present invention relates to relates to methods of making concrete from cement and, in particular, methods of making usable standard concrete from aged or otherwise substandard cement.
Slurry Distribution System with Vibration Isolation
A cementitious slurry mixing and dispensing system includes a slurry mixer that agitates and forms aqueous cementitious slurry, a discharge conduit in communication with the mixer and forming an interior surface defining a slurry flow path to convey the slurry therethrough to an outlet, a distribution mat disposed proximally to the outlet, a vibrating plate supporting the distribution mat, an overhead bracing system from which the vibrating plate is suspended, and a plurality of support members coupled between the overhead bracing system and the vibrating plate. The vibrating plate is adapted to impart vibrational forces on the distribution mat to promote movement of the aqueous slurry. Each support member includes a rod, a hollow coupling member, and at least one resilient bushing assembly adapted to dampen the vibrational forces exerted by the vibrating plate, thereby isolating the rod and the overhead bracing system from the vibrational forces.

Mixing System for Cement and Fluids
A technique facilitates mixing of cement slurry for use in a cementing application. At least one cement mixer is provided with a tank, e.g. a conical tank, having a powder cement blend inlet and a mixing liquid inlet. A cement slurry discharge may be positioned generally beneath the tank. A mixing assembly also is positioned below the tank and driven by a shaft. The mixing assembly is exposed to an interior of the tank and is used to mix the cement slurry when rotated by the shaft and to direct the cement slurry out through the cement slurry discharge. Additionally, a recirculation system comprises an inlet positioned to receive a portion of the cement slurry mixed in the mixing assembly. The recirculation system also comprises an outlet positioned to direct the portion back into the mixer to enhance mixing effects.
APPARATUS FOR EXTRUDING CERAMIC SLURRY
An extruder includes a receptacle for containing material to be extruded. The extruder further includes a dispersion blade positioned within the receptacle and a nozzle secured to the receptacle. The nozzle defines a first opening positioned within an interior of the receptacle, defines a second opening positioned outside of the receptacle and defines a channel which extends from the first opening through the nozzle to the second opening defining a flow path which extends from the first opening, through the channel and to the second opening. The nozzle extends through a wall of the receptacle and into the interior of the receptacle such that the first opening is positioned spaced apart from the wall.

METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR 3D PRINTING OF REACTIVE VATERITE CEMENT
Provided herein are compositions, methods, and systems related to 3D printing a reactive vaterite cement composition, comprising feeding a composition comprising reactive vaterite cement through a 3D printing machine; printing a 3D printed reactive vaterite cement product; and curing the 3D printed reactive vaterite cement product by transforming reactive vaterite cement in the 3D printed reactive vaterite cement product to aragonite and/or calcite during and/or after the curing.
CEMENT PREMIXER, A DEVICE FOR PRODUCING A CONCRETE MIXTURE AND A METHOD FOR PRODUCING A CEMENT SUSPENSION
A cement premixer includes a treatment container having a treatment space. The treatment container has a side wall and a bottom, and at least one stirring unit at least partially projecting into the treatment space. The stirring unit is connected to a shaft having an axis of rotation. At least one ultrasonic probe projects at least partially into the treatment space. At least one ultrasonic oscillator applies ultrasound to the at least one ultrasonic probe. The cement premixer has at least one first introduction opening for the supply of cement and an outlet for the flow supply line for feeding a cement suspension provided by the cement premixer into a concrete-mixing device.
