System and process for producing dry mix construction materials with improved engineering properties
11707864 · 2023-07-25 · ·

A system and process for producing a variety of dry mix construction and ancillary construction materials (DMC) with improved structural properties. The system and process employs a material classification unit (204) that classifies at least one of plurality of raw materials (A, B, . . . N) based on their particle size and physical properties. These classified raw materials are stored separately in material handling compartments (260) and are selected according to the construction grade requirements of the end user. The invention further involves the use of a material selection unit (210) which controls the functioning of various components of present invention. The system and process also provides reutilization of industrial waste products like fly ash, blast furnace slag to produce a variety of construction and ancillary construction materials.

Method and System for Processing Concrete Granules

The disclosure provides a method and a system for processing concrete granulate for subsequent recycling of the concrete granulate. In the method, a container of the system is filled with concrete granulate, said container being gas-tight at least in some regions. Subsequently, gas comprising CO2 is fed, continuously or noncontinously, according to a level of CO2 absorption by the concrete granulate in the container, said level being determined by means of at least one sensor. After a predefined CO2 saturation of the concrete granulate has been detected, the concrete granulate, which have been enriched with CO2, are removed.

APPARATUS FOR GAS ENTRAINMENT VIA NANO-BUBBLES INTO CONCRETE UPSTREAM FROM A PRODUCT MOLD
20220380267 · 2022-12-01 ·

An apparatus for delivering a wet concrete mix to a product mold, where the apparatus comprises a hopper configured to retain a fresh concrete mix, a source of treated water having a concentration of nanobubbles of a gas at least double a natural concentration of nanobubbles of the gas within a natural state of the water, a water transport coupling the source of treated water with the hopper, a valve interposed within the water transport for selectively releasing the treated water into the hopper, and a mixer in communication with the hopper for mixing the treated water with the fresh concrete mix to yield an infused wet concrete.

Method for gas entrainment via nano-bubbles into concrete upstream from a product mold

A nanobubble-infused liquid is mixed into a dry concrete mix to form an infused wet concrete, where the nanobubble-infused liquid includes a concentration of nanobubbles of a gas at least double a natural concentration of nanobubbles of the gas within a natural state of the liquid. The nanobubble-infused liquid is preferably liquid water infused with a desired concentration of carbon-dioxide (CO.sub.2) nanobubbles sized within a certain prescribed range. The infused wet concrete is then transported to the mold of a concrete products forming machine to form a molded product that has enhanced qualities including increased carbon capture within the resulting concrete product, improved curing times, increased flowability, self-healing, and improved release from the product mold.

Method For Modifying Recycled Fine Powder Of Concrete And Use Thereof

Methods for modifying a recycled fine powder of concrete and uses thereof. A method for modifying a recycled fine powder can include: crushing a collected waste concrete block step by step with a crusher, grinding with a ball mill, and passing through a 100-mesh sieve, to obtain a recycled fine powder with d50 of 13.5 μm; placing the obtained recycled fine powder in a dry environment at a high temperature, drying, then taking out, and cooling to room temperature; preparing tannic acid solutions with different concentrations, mixing the cooled recycled fine powder with the prepared tannic acid solutions, and continuously stirring by a glass rod.

Masonry construction material with a cellulose matrix and method for obtaining same
11261131 · 2022-03-01 ·

The present invention is related to materials of construction in the technical field of architecture and civil engineering, known as construction material for masonry; specifically, it is a compound made with a mixture of biodegradable cellulose matrix which is obtained from recyclable materials through an innovative method. Such compound, reaches higher resistance to compression in comparison to the known quality standards, even thought the resultant clusters, blocks or bricks, etc., are lighter due to their high cellulose content. This compound might be used, but not limited to, as raw material to produce hollow bricks, blocks, clusters and other conglomerates to build houses and buildings.

Eductor based mixer for mixing stucco and water

A mixing assembly includes a main flow conduit having an inlet end and an opposite outlet, a source of pressurized air at the inlet end, a container of stucco in fluid communication with the flow conduit, and a source of water in fluid communication with the flow conduit between the outlet and the container. The pressurized air draws stucco from the container into the flow conduit, and also draws water into the flow conduit to form an atomized slurry.

Systems and methods for preparing dry process materials and reducing respirable dust

A system for preparing a dry process material includes a sealed container that holds and seals the dry process material therein and prevents airborne dust or particles from the dry process material from escaping the sealed container. Sealed processing equipment receives the dry process material from the sealed container and prevents the airborne dust or particles from escaping the sealed processing equipment. A sealed connection sealingly couples the sealed container to the sealed processing equipment and prevents the airborne dust or particles from escaping while transferring the dry process material. A sealed transfer conduit is sealingly coupled to and extends from the sealed processing equipment.

Methods of holistically diffusing carbon dioxide within a concrete mixture

A method of diffusing CO.sub.2 within a concrete mixture that includes mixing a non-recycled aggregate material with a CO.sub.2 gas in a pretreatment chamber of a concrete preparation system to form a CO.sub.2 adsorbed aggregate material, transferring the CO.sub.2 adsorbed aggregate material from the pretreatment chamber into a cement mixing chamber of the concrete preparation system, and mixing the CO.sub.2 adsorbed aggregate material with cement and water to form the concrete mixture, where mixing the CO.sub.2 adsorbed aggregate material with cement and water releases CO.sub.2 from the CO.sub.2 adsorbed aggregate material and diffuses CO.sub.2 into the concrete mixture to form a carbonated concrete mixture.
