Cast-In-Place Concrete Pipe System
A cast-in-place concrete pipe system comprising at least one outer barrel, at least one inner barrel, at least one reinforcement dowel used to create a reinforcement cage, at least one reinforcement wall separator, at least one coupling ring, at least one fill port, one or more barrel support stands and a concrete mixture that is poured into the fill port to reside in the space between the outer barrel and the inner barrel. The cast-in-place concrete pipe system is designed to create a single pipe unit which is chemically resistant and configurable to numerous underground pipe, manhole and utility system needs.
Structures for use in erecting multistory buildings and methods for making such structures
Disclosed are various construction techniques for erecting a multistory building with an elevator shaft. In accordance with the method, upper and lower shaft components are formed at an offsite facility. These shaft components are then joined together to form a segment of the larger elevator shaft. Once constructed, the segment is transported to a jobsite and erected. Once an individual segment is installed, a floor slab can be formed about the segment. Using pre-cast elevator segments simplifies and expedites the construction process. In one embodiment, each segment includes a serrated edge that facilitates a connection between the floor slab and the shaft segment. Rebar and reinforcing dowels can also be used to improve the connection. Associated shaft constructions are also disclosed.
Level monitoring of bulk material bin with heater control function
An aggregate bin heater assembly having a bin for receiving aggregate therein and a plurality of fluid inlets supported at vertically spaced apart elevations relative to the bin for distributing a heating fluid into the aggregate within the bin, further includes a control system for controlling distribution of the heating fluid. A pressure sensor associated with at least an uppermost one of the fluid inlets so as to be arranged to sense pressure within the bin at the respective elevation. A controller determines a low pressure condition if the pressure sensed by the pressure sensor is lower than a prescribed normal pressure. A valve associated with the uppermost one of the fluid inlets shuts off the flow of heating fluid to the uppermost one of the fluid inlets responsive to determination of the low pressure condition by the controller.
System and Method for High Throughput Preparation of Rubber-Modified Asphalt Cement
This invention encompasses rubber modified asphalt cement compositions, as well as systems, apparatuses, methods for preparing, as well as methods for using rubber-modified asphalt cement compositions.
One step process of making sustainable hybrid magnesium cement
An exemplary process for forming a cured hybrid magnesium cement composition may include first combining a mixture of magnesium-containing material, a metal silicate inorganic polymer having a repeat unit of SiP.sub.2O.sub.7, and a salt having a non-metallic oxide anion, and then mixing the mixture with water.

Volumetric mixer with water tank and oil tank inside aggregate bin
A mobile concrete mixing unit has an aggregate bin divided into two compartments by a water tank provided within the aggregate bin. A hydraulic reservoir is provided within the water tank in order to cool the hydraulic fluid within the hydraulic reservoir and warm the water within the water tank. The water tank also helps to keep the aggregate warm and flowable when used in low temperatures. A lower portion of the water tank includes sides that slope inwardly so that aggregate within the bin can drop freely onto a conveyor belt without bridging between the water tank and the sidewalls of the aggregate bin.
