Mover apparatus installed aftermarket or OEM for pivoting a cement chute and method
09845859 · 2017-12-19 · ·

A mover apparatus having a pinion rigidly attached to a pivot mount connected to a cement chute of a cement mixer and engaged by rack of a mover assembly biased by a guide, which mover assembly, being selectively operated, moves the rack longitudinally between a retracted position and an extended position to impart rotational movement to the pivot mount for swinging the cement chute in an arc relative to the cement mixer for orienting the cement chute to a selected location for discharge of cement. A method of installing a mover apparatus as an aftermarket or OEM structure is disclosed.

COMPOSITE CONCRETE CHUTE

A composite chute for a commercial vehicle includes a metal frame, and a pair of plastic sheets. The metal frame assembly defines a longitudinal axis. The pair of plastic sheets extend along the longitudinal axis and positioned on either side of the metal frame assembly. The metal frame assembly is sandwiched between the pair of plastic sheets.

Nonmetallic collector

To provide a lighter weight and more robust component for use on a concrete mixer truck, a collector is formed of a non-metallic material which has more desirable characteristics. The collector is further strengthened by providing internal reinforcing structures and reinforced mounting structures so the collector can be effectively coupled to the concrete mixer truck. Additionally, the non-metallic material has desirable characteristics, such as low surface friction levels, high strength to weight ratios, and desirable puncture resistance. All of these characteristics combine to provide a lighter weight, more effective collector.

CONNECTED MIXER WITH AUTOMOUS DISCHARGE

A vehicle includes a prime mover, a mixer drum assembly configured to selectively discharge a contents thereof, and a control system having a sensor. The control system is configured to detect, via the sensor, a state of a receiving device that is configured to receive the contents discharged from the mixer drum assembly, determine a desired state of the receiving device, adjust a vehicle state to reduce a difference between the state of the receiving device and the desired state of the receiving device, and cause a presentation of an indication of the adjustment of the vehicle state.
