Pick including polycrystalline diamond compact
Embodiments disclosed herein are directed to a system for removing road material. In an embodiment, the system may include a milling drum and at least one pick mounted on the milling drum. The pick may include polycrystalline diamond at least partially forming one or more working surfaces of the pick.
Tool and device for removal of material on surfaces
The invention proposes a tool and device, with the aid of which it is possible to remove the surface of walls, ceilings and floors also in the corners of contaminated interiors.
Brick/block laying machine incorporated in a vehicle
A self-contained truck-mounted brick laying machine can include a frame that can support packs or pallets of bricks placed on a platform. A transfer robot can pick up and move the brick(s). A carousel can be coaxial with a tower. The carousel can transfer the brick(s) via the tower to an articulated and/or telescoping boom. The bricks can be moved along the boom by, e.g., linearly moving shuttles, to reach a brick laying and adhesive applying head. The brick laying and adhesive applying head can mount to an element of the stick, about an axis which is disposed horizontally. The poise of the brick laying and adhesive applying head about the axis can be adjusted and can be set in use so that the base of a clevis of the robotic arm mounts about a horizontal axis, and the tracker component is disposed uppermost on the brick laying and adhesive applying head. The brick laying and adhesive applying head can apply adhesive to the brick and can have a robot that lays the brick. Vision and laser scanning and tracking systems can be provided to allow the measurement of as-built slabs, bricks, the monitoring and adjustment of the process and the monitoring of safety zones. The first, or any course of bricks can have the bricks pre machined by the router module so that the top of the course is level once laid.

Chisel holder
The invention relates to a bit holder for an earth working machine, in particular a surface miner, a road milling machine, or the like, having a holding projection that comprises a bit receptacle and/or carries a cutting element. In order to improve the operating reliability of an earth working machine, provision is made according to the present invention that the holding projection has, behind the cutting element or behind a receiving region of the bit receptacle in the tool advance direction, a wear protection element having a hard-material element in order to provide an emergency-mode property.
Bit Holder (Pick) with Shortened Shank and Angular Differential Between the Shank and Base Block Bore
Improvements in previous bit assembly components including shortened slotted shanks and shortened base block bore receiving portions disclose relationships between shank differential interference portions and the corresponding base block bores. Changes in the differences in interference angles lead to changes in slot width, length and steel hardnesses in order to provide necessary retaining forces between the shank and base block bore.
TAPERED CUTTER BIT AND MOUNTING BLOCK FOR THE SAME
A cutter bit adapted to be fixed onto a working surface of a rotating drum of a milling, planing, mining or reclaiming machine is provided. The body of the cutter bit is generally formed of a hardened steel, the cutting surface may be a diamond composition fixed in a step in the upper end of the cutter bit. The cutter bit includes a cutting surface, and the cutting surface may include non-parallel side edges and an upper cutting edge parallel to a lower edge. The lower edge may be any length sufficient to inhibit unintended angular displacement of the cutting surface during operation of the working surface. Alternatively or in addition, the cutting surface may be defined by three edges to allow the cutting surface to be removed and repositioned in at least a second orientation.
SHAPED ARTICLES, METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR FORMING THE SAME, AND LIQUID LENSES COMPRISING THE SAME
A shaped article can include a substrate formed from a glass material, a glass ceramic material, or a combination thereof and a cavity formed in the substrate. A sidewall of the cavity can have a random textured surface with a surface roughness of less than or equal to 300 nm. A method of machining a protrusion in a graphite block can include translating a cutting tool in a first longitudinal direction toward the graphite block to engage the graphite block with the cutting tool while rotating the cutting tool about a rotational axis without translating the cutting tool in a lateral direction, then translating the cutting tool in a second longitudinal direction away from the graphite block without translating the cutting tool in the lateral direction to disengage the cutting tool from the graphite block. A shaped article can be formed by pressing a preform with a monolithic graphite mold.
Milling pick
The invention relates to a milling pick, in particular a round pick having a pick head and a pick tip, consisting of a hard material, wherein the pick tip has an attachment area, which is used to connect it to the pick head, wherein the pick tip has a concave area, which extends in the direction of the central longitudinal axis of the pick tip, and wherein the concave area has an elliptical contour. To achieve an improved resilience for such a milling pick, provision in made in accordance with the invention that the ellipse generating the elliptical contour is arranged in such a way that the semimajor of the ellipse and the central longitudinal axis of the pick tip form an acute angle.
Non-rotating bit/holder with tip insert
A diamond coated tip for a non-rotatable bit/holder for road milling operations that includes an overlay of diamond material and a base. An outer surface of the overlay including a tip, at least two parabolic sections, and a generally cylindrical section. The overlay can also include an overfill portion of adjacent the generally cylindrical section.
