Method and device for separating composite materials and mixtures, in particular solid-material mixtures and slags
A method for separating composite materials and mixtures, in particular solid-material mixtures and slags, and to a device for carrying out said method. The method for separating composite materials and mixtures comprises the step of transporting the composite material or the mixture through a separating device. The composite material to be separated or the mixture to be separated is excited by mechanical impulses as it passes through the separating device and is thereby separated. The device (1) for carrying out the method comprises a drive unit (21) for driving a rotor element (32), which is connected to a bearing/shaft unit (22) and which is part of a rotor unit (31). The rotor element itself has at least one rotor tool (33) and each rotor tool has at least one rotor tool component (34) and is surrounded by a stator element (42), which is part of a stator unit (41). The stator element itself has at least one stator tool (43) and each stator tool has at least one stator tool component (44). The rotor element and the stator element are substantially cylindrical.
Processes and structures for recycling carpet and products of such processes
Methods and equipment for the recycling of carpet are disclosed that produce a clean fiber product suitable for industrial use. The methods allow the recovery of face fiber material, for example a polyester, polyolefin, or a polyamide, from carpets that includes a face fiber material, a polypropylene backing material, and an adhesive, and include the steps of mechanically impacting the carpet to break the bonds between the adhesive and the fibrous components, treating the fibrous components to remove adhesive granules from the fibrous components, and optionally separating the polypropylene backing from the face fiber. A clean adhesive/calcium carbonate product can also be produced from this process.
METHOD OF RECYCLING CARBON FIBERS
An object of the present disclosure is to provide a method of recycling carbon fibers that allows efficiently obtaining carbon fibers suitable for reuse. An embodiment is the method of recycling carbon fibers that includes: preparing a carbon fiber reinforced plastic molded product containing a carbon fiber reinforced plastic containing a carbon fiber and a resin; performing a process of at least one of a heating process or an ultraviolet irradiation process on the carbon fiber reinforced plastic molded product; and removing the resin after the process from the carbon fiber by injecting a first liquid to at least the carbon fiber of the carbon fiber reinforced plastic molded product after the process.
METHOD FOR COMPLETE RECYCLING OF INORGANIC-FIBER REINFORCED EPOXY COMPOSITES WITH BORON HALIDES
The present invention is related to a method for recycling a composite material comprising inorganic fibers and an epoxy-resin in a one pot reaction, wherein the method comprises reacting the composite material with a boron halide in a solvent.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR RECYCLING CARBON FIBER-REINFORCED RESIN
A method for recycling a carbon fiber-reinforced resin including a carbon fiber and a matrix resin is provided, and the method includes: a first heating step of heating the carbon fiber-reinforced resin to decompose the matrix resin so as to obtain an intermediate in which the decomposition residue of the matrix resin is adhered to the carbon fiber; an unwinding step of unwinding an intermediate fiber from the intermediate; a second heating step of heating the unwound intermediate fiber to decompose the decomposition residue of the matrix resin adhered to the intermediate fiber so as to obtain a recycled carbon fiber; and a winding step of winding the recycled carbon fiber.
Lewis base-mediated recovery of fibers from fiber reinforced polymers
Disclosed are methods and apparatus for recovering fibers from fiber reinforced polymers wherein the fiber reinforced polymer is contacted with a Lewis base for a time sufficient to allow at least partial depolymerization of the polymer.
Methods for manufacturing carbon fiber and for manufacturing carbon fiber reinforced resin composition
A method for manufacturing a carbon fiber is provided which involves: (1) immersing a carbon fiber composite material (CFC) in an acidic aqueous solution to elute at least a part of a resin component of the CFC, to thereby obtain a substantially fibrous product; and (2) immersing the substantially fibrous product obtained in step (1) in an alkaline aqueous solution to elute at least a part of a resin component of the substantially fibrous product, to thereby obtain a fibrous product. A method for manufacturing a carbon fiber reinforced resin composition is provided which involves manufacturing a carbon fiber by the above method and manufacturing a carbon fiber reinforced resin composition using the resulting carbon fiber. Using these methods, it is possible to recover and recycle a carbon fiber from a carbon fiber composite material (CFC) at a low cost without deteriorating the carbon fiber.

The invention relates to a process for recycling articles comprising a composite material, the composite material comprising a polymer matrix and a reinforcement, said process being characterized in that it comprises the following steps: introducing the article into a reactor suitable for heating the article, heating the article in the reactor at a given temperature, in order to destructure the polymer matrix, separating the reinforcement from the destructured polymer matrix, and contacting the reinforcement with a first heat-transfer means in order to recover heat.
The invention also relates to a system for recycling an article made of composite material.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING WATER ABSORPTION TREATMENT MATERIAL
A method for manufacturing a water absorption treatment material made of a plurality of grains includes a preparing step, a pulverizing step, a core portion forming step, and a coating portion forming step. The preparing step is a step of preparing a paper powder to which water-absorbent polymers adhere, the paper powder being derived from a sanitary product. The pulverizing step is a step of pulverizing remaining polymers using a pulverizer. The core portion forming step is a step of forming a core portion constituting each of the grains The coating portion forming step is a step of forming a coating portion so as to cover the core portion, the coating portion containing the paper powder, and the remaining polymers pulverized in the pulverizing step. In the pulverizing step, the remaining polymers left in a state of adhering to the paper powder are subjected to the pulverizer.
