ASSEMBLY AND METHOD FOR PROCESSING VISCOUS MATERIAL
An assembly for processing viscous material comprises a process duct extending along a longitudinal axis, wherein viscous material advances in one advancing direction, at least one pumping device provided with a stator comprising a cylindrical seat, and at least one cylindrical rotor. The at least one cylindrical rotor is housed in the stator and is coupled to the stator with a sliding seal. The rotor rotates around a rotating axis substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis and has an outer face with at least one groove, which forms with the inner surface of the stator one pumping channel. The pumping device is configured so that the pumping channel extends between at least one inlet and at least one outlet and the inlet and the outlet are in fluid connection with the process duct.
Liquid Polymer Dosing and Mixing Chamber & Pump
A liquid polymer dosing and mixing chamber and pump having a hollow chamber, a blending reactor, a progressive cavity pump, a mixing cup, a submersible actuator, and an aging cup within the hollow chamber adapted to create doses, via the progressive cavity pump, of a first substance and to mix it with one or more substances introduced into the blending reactor via one or more inlets.
HYDRATION SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A substantially continuous stream of aqueous fluid and a substantially continuous stream of gel having a first concentration are combined to form a substantially continuous stream of gel having a second concentration. The second concentration is substantially lower than the first concentration. The gel having the second concentration may thereafter be utilized in conjunction with a well fracturing operation.
Temperature Control for a Rotary Head Extruder
An improved rotary head extruder has at least one rotatable auger disposed within a single barrel and having an upstream end and a downstream end. The extruder has a die assembly that includes (i) a stator having a stator head at the downstream end of the at least one rotatable auger and a stationary plate surrounding an outlet end of the stator downstream from the single barrel and (ii) a rotatable plate downstream and spaced apart from the stationary plate to define a die gap. The apparatus includes a heating mechanism to maintain, within a predefined temperature range, one or more of the temperature of the die assembly or an extrudable composition disposed in the die gap.

Device and method for dispersing solids, liquids and gases in an extruder
Device and method for dispersing solids, liquids and gases in an extruder, having at least one shaft (1) and one housing (2), wherein at least one disk (4) with recesses is attached to the shaft, which at least one disk co-rotates with the shaft, and a non-co-rotating disk (3) is arranged immediately adjacent to the disk either in a product flow direction or counter to the product flow direction, which non-co-rotating disk likewise has recesses, and wherein the co-rotating disk is connected to the rotating shaft and has a gap (14) with respect to the housing, and the non-co-rotating disk is connected to the housing and has a gap (15) with respect to the rotating core shaft.
Shaping material supply device and three-dimensional shaping apparatus
Provided is a shaping material supply device for use in a three-dimensional shaping apparatus, which includes a first flow path through which a shaping material flows, a nozzle that communicates with the first flow path and discharges the shaping material, and a flow rate regulation mechanism that includes a butterfly valve provided in the first flow path.
PLASTICIZING DEVICE
A plasticizing device includes a drive motor, a rotor that is rotated by the drive motor and has a groove formed face with a groove formed therein, a barrel that is opposed to the groove formed face and has a communication hole, a heating portion that heats a material in a pellet form supplied between the groove and the barrel, and a control unit that controls the drive motor and the heating portion so as to plasticize the material supplied between the groove and the barrel and cause the material to flow out from the communication hole. The heating portion has a first heating portion and a second heating portion disposed closer to the communication hole than the first heating portion, and the barrel has a first region and a second region that is closer to the communication hole than the first region. The control unit individually controls the first heating portion and the second heating portion so that a temperature of the second region is higher than a temperature of the first region.
Liquid Polymer or Chemical Activation System Using a Submersible Actuator
A liquid polymer or chemical activation system, having a chamber; a top cover plate, a middle cover plate and a bottom cover plate; wherein such configuration creates a hollow space inside the chamber that is flanked by the top cover plate and the bottom cover plate; a hybrid pump blending reactor having a progressive cavity pump and one or more inlets for receiving first and second substances; an upper multistage mixing cup configured to receive the first and second substances from the hybrid pump blending reactor; at least one high shear mixer for mixing the first and second substances; at least one submersible actuator for actuating the high shear mixer; an intermediate blending section for receiving the mix of first and second substances from the upper multistage mixing cup; a lower multistage aging cup for further mixing of the first and second substances; and at least one outlet on the bottom cover plate for releasing the mix of first and second substances.
Polyurethane injection system and method
A system and method to dispense, mix, and inject liquids and force them into a vented investment pattern mold cavity comprises a source of raw materials in fluid communication with an injection unit for metering and delivering the raw materials. A mixing and injection head receives and mixes the metered raw materials.
