The invention relates to a system (100) for measurement quality verification (MQV) that forms part of an installation (10) located at a site that manufactures rubber mixtures, the system including: a weighing platform (102) having a scale (104) for determining a weight loss of the metered raw materials; a metering device (106) including: a metering hopper (108) that receives the raw materials required for performing one or more rubber mixing processes; and a metering means that meters the raw materials into the metering hopper in real time; an application and removal system that allows for application and removal of one or more calibration weights (118) relative to the weighing platform (102); and a motion system that facilitates reciprocating vertical movement of the metering device. The invention also relates to an installation (10) that incorporates the disclosed system and to a continuous metering process performed by the installation.

A method for producing a formed product using a resin composition including a plurality of raw materials, in which the content of raw materials in the resin composition is measured in real time, the method comprising the steps of: supplying each of the plurality of raw materials to an extruder; melt-kneading the plurality of raw materials in the extruder to prepare a resin composition; and irradiating the prepared resin composition with radiation and calculating the content of the raw material in the resin composition based on the results of detection of the radiation transmitted through the resin composition.
BIODEGRADABLE POLYMER PARTICULATES AND METHODS FOR PRODUCTION AND USE THEREOF
Compositions include a plurality of polymer particulates comprising a matrix polymer and one or more types of nanoparticles selected from the group consisting of biopolymer nanoparticles, biomineral nanoparticles excluding biomineralized silica alone, and any combination thereof. Illustrative examples of such nanoparticles may include cellulose nanoparticles, hydroxyapatite nanoparticles, or any combination thereof associated with the matrix polymer. The polymer particulates may be prepared by melt emulsification. Methods include depositing such polymer particulates in a powder bed; and heating a portion of the powder bed to consolidate a portion of the polymer particulates into a consolidated part having a specified shape. The matrix polymer may be biodegradable and lose at least about 40% mass in six days in a phosphate buffer solution (0.2 M, pH 7.0) containing 0.2 mg/mL of lipase obtained from Pseudomonas cepacia (≥30 U/mg) and incubated at 37° C.

The method can include mixing the first component, second component, and third component with a mixing reactor to form a mixture. The method can include filtering the mixture with a filtration unit and removing a solid residue from the mixture. The method can include curing the filtered mixture with a radiation unit into a gel component and a liquid component. The method can include separating the gel component with a phase separation unit and then milling the gel component. And the method can include mixing the gel component, the photoinitiator, the mineral filler and optionally the recycled previously printed composite material to form the composite material.

Polyamide resin composition and molded article comprising the same
A polyamide resin composition and a molded article manufactured using the same. The polyamide resin composition includes: about 15 wt % to about 49 wt % of an aromatic polyamide resin including a repeat unit represented by Formula 1 and a repeat unit represented by Formula 2 as defined in the specification; about 1 wt % to about 30 wt % of a polyamide resin having a glass transition temperature of about 40° C. to about 120° C.; about 1 wt % to about 20 wt % of an olefin-based copolymer; and about 30 wt % to about 50 wt % of calcium carbonate. The polyamide resin composition and the molded article produced using the same can have good properties in terms of plating adhesion, impact resistance, thermal resistance, fluidity, and/or appearance, and the like.
