Method for manufacturing light absorber

This method for manufacturing a light absorber includes: a first step for irradiating a resin substrate with ion beams; a second step for etching the irradiated resin substrate with an alkaline solution to form an uneven surface on the surface thereof; a third step for forming a transfer body which covers the uneven surface of the etched resin substrate; and a fourth step for peeling off the transfer body from the resin substrate to obtain a light absorber. A metal film, a photocurable resin, and a silicone rubber are disclosed as an example of the transfer body.

Bragg-peak three-dimensional manufacturing with resins

This patent application claims the use of directed energy in the form of electronically scanned ion beams to form plastic parts by selectively curing commodity or engineering resin in the shape of the part. Polymerization is limited to the vicinity of the controlled Bragg-peak of the ion beam (i.e., where linear energy transfer is maximized), if necessary, by the use of chemical polymerization inhibitors or conditions that inhibit polymerization.

Method of making coextruded, cross-linked polyolefin foam with TPU cap layers

The present disclosure is directed to a physically crosslinked, closed cell continuous multilayer foam structure comprising at least one foam polypropylene/polyethylene layer with a TPU cap layer. The multilayer foam structure can be obtained by coextruding a multilayer structure comprising at least one foam composition layer with at least one cap composition layer, irradiating the coextruded structure with ionizing radiation, and continuously foaming the irradiated structure.

There are provided a decorative sheet having excellent fingerprint resistance of the surface of the decorative sheet, a decorative board, a method for manufacturing a transfer master plate, and a method for manufacturing a decorative sheet. The decorative sheet includes: a base material layer; a colored pattern layer provided on one surface of the base material layer; and a first surface protective layer provided on the surface on the side opposite to the base material layer of the colored pattern layer and having irregular shapes on the surface. The decorative sheet is formed using a transfer master plate which is a resin material having irregular shapes for master plate on the surface formed by irradiating the surface of an applied ionizing radiation curable resin with a first ionizing radiation having energy capable of cleaving a polymer chain of the ionizing radiation curable to shrink the surface of the ionizing radiation curable resin, forming the irregular shapes for master plate on the surface of the ionizing radiation curable resin, irradiating the shrunk ionizing radiation curable resin with a second ionizing radiation curing the ionizing radiation curable resin to cure the ionizing radiation curable resin.

The surface roughness of the skived surface of the foam sheet is different from the surface roughness of an unskived surface.

IDENTIFICATION DOCUMENTS WITH RADIATION CURABLE MATERIAL AND RELATED METHODS

Systems and methods wherein one or more processing operations on an identification document occur after a radiation curable material is applied to a surface of the identification document but before the radiation curable material is fully cured. The one or more processing operations can occur before any curing of the radiation curable material takes place. Alternatively, the one or more processing operations can occur after the radiation curable material has been partially cured, and before the radiation curable material is fully or completely cured.
