MOLDING DEVICE WITH SELF-BLOCKING FEED CHANNEL
20230050046 · 2023-02-16 ·

A molding device for producing a molded module. The molding device has one tool part and one further tool part, which together enclose a cavity. At least one of the tool parts has at least one dividing web arranged and configured to subdivide the cavity into at least a low-pressure sub-cavity and a high-pressure sub-cavity. The tool part has at least two feed channels, of which a low-pressure feed channel opens into the low-pressure sub-cavity and has a smaller cross-section at least over a longitudinal portion than a high-pressure feed channel opening into the high-pressure sub-cavity. The low-pressure feed channel is configured to become pressure-resistantly blocked through hardening of the molding compound once a predetermined time interval has elapsed or during the interval. The high-pressure feed channel is configured to conduct a molding pressure into the cavity for a longer time interval than the low-pressure feed channel.

The invention concerns an injection overmoulding device comprising at least one indexed rotary turret on which cooled moulds are installed, each mould comprising a plurality of cavities, and at least five stationary stations arranged around said turret, including at least a first station, a second station and a third station that are used, respectively, for carrying out the operations of positioning the inserts in the cavities of the mould, injecting plastic material into the cavities of the mould, and demoulding the at least partially cooled objects. The device comprises, for each mould, at least separate injection means. The invention also concerns a method implemented by the device.

INJECTION MOLD AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING INJECTION-MOLDED PARTS

An injection mold for manufacturing injection-molded parts by injecting injection molding material into a cavity having a contour corresponding to the injection-molded part to be manufactured. The injection mold includes a distribution channel for injection molding material which is connectable to an injection nozzle and is in communicative connection with the cavity. The distribution channel includes a compensating volume region having a volume, determined by the type and number of cavities connected to the distribution channel, for accommodating injection molding material during the injection molding process.

Methods and systems for co-extruding multiple polymeric material flow streams into a mold having a plurality of cavities to produce a plurality of multi-layer polymeric articles each having a consistent coverage of an interior core layer are disclosed herein. In an example method, a flow rate of a first skin material into a cavity is individually controlled for each cavity before initiation of co-injection of a second core material into the cavity, which may address inconsistent interior core layer coverage for articles from different cavities.

A device for injection-molding and for overmolding objects has an upper element and a lower element, which surround a contiguous volume consisting of a filling space for holding the object and casting material and a sprue for holding casting material. The upper element is movable in relation to the lower element. A piston is arranged within the upper element in an integrated manner and is movable relative to the upper element. The position of the piston can be varied in accordance with a dimension of the object in an axial direction and the piston has a protrusion for changing a volume as filling amount balancing of the casting material within the sprue such that the device is filled with a constant amount of casting material irrespective of the dimension of the object in the axial direction and a volume varying with the dimension of the object in the axial direction.

Non-naturally balanced feed system for an injection molding apparatus

A low constant pressure injection molding machine forms molded parts by injecting molten thermoplastic material into a mold cavity at low constant pressures of 6,000 psi and lower. As a result, the low constant pressure injection molding machine includes a mold formed of easily machineable material that is less costly and faster to manufacture than typical injection molds.
