An injection mold capable of planing and cutting gates in an inside thereof and a planing and cutting method are provided. The injection mold includes a blade fixed block arranged between a moving mold and a fixed mold. Blades arranged on the blade fixed block and configured for cutting off gate condensed-material. The mold includes ejectors for ejecting out the gate condensed material and the blade fixed block. Runners formed between the blade fixed block and the fixed mold. Cut holes for communicating runners and gates are formed in blades. Ejector holes for penetrating the ejectors are formed in portions of the blade fixed block which correspond to bottoms of runners. The blade fixed block moves relative to the moving mold in a mold opening direction. The moving mold is provided with a limiting mechanism for limiting the blade fixed block after injection molding parts are separated from a cavity.

MOLDING DIE AND DIE-EXCHANGING METHOD

A molding die has a lower holder, an intermediate holder, an upper holder, a lock member, an upper link bar, a lower link bar, a restriction member, and a drive part. A movement of the lock member in a molding die opening direction or a molding die closing direction is restricted by the intermediate holder. The upper link bar has a first retaining groove in which the lock member fits when being located at a molding die closing position. The lower link bar has a second retaining groove in which the lock member fits and a release portion that enables the lock member to be released from the first retaining groove. The restriction member is movable between a restriction position that prevents the lock member from fitting in the second retaining groove and a free position that enables the lock member to fit in the second retaining groove.

A parts fabrication apparatus has a staging fixture that is configured to position at least a portion of a molded plastic assembly that has a connective runner portion with at least one molded part extended from the connective runner portion by a severable gate portion. A laser source is energizable to direct toward the severable gate portion, from a laser output aperture positioned beneath the staged plastic assembly, a coherent light beam having sufficient energy for melting the gate portion and releasing the molded part along a drop path. A support is disposed to deflect the drop path of at least a portion of the released molded part in a direction away from the coherent light beam.
