INJECTION APPARATUS AND RELATED METHODS
An injection apparatus includes (a) a barrel; (b) a nozzle at a front end of the barrel; (c) a screw in the barrel; and (d) a drive assembly including: (i) a housing having a front end coupled to the barrel; (ii) a spindle in the housing and fixed to the screw; (iii) a first motor in the housing and having a hollow first rotor through which the spindle passes. The first rotor is coupled to the spindle for driving rotation of the screw about the axis. The drive assembly further includes (iv) a second motor in the housing axially rearward of the first motor. The second motor has a hollow second rotor through which the spindle passes. The second rotor is coupled to the spindle for translating the screw along the axis in response to rotation of the second rotor relative to the spindle.
Moulding assembly
A moulding assembly with an inlet for receiving raw material to be ejected is disclosed. The moulding assembly may include: a barrel for gathering and processing the raw material received through the inlet, a screw for engaging the raw material in the barrel, and a first drive unit configured for rotating the screw in order to grind the raw material into liquid form. The moulding assembly may further comprise a second drive unit configured to displace the screw in a direction essentially perpendicular to the rotation direction in and out of the barrel depending on the pressure in the barrel.
CONTROL METHOD FOR INJECTION MOLDING MACHINE AND INJECTION MOLDING MACHINE
A control method for an injection molding machine including a measurement process of measuring molten resin by moving a screw backward while rotating the screw in a heating barrel for melting a resin material, a rotational speed of the screw is reduced from a timing when a backward movement speed of the screw is reduced at the measurement process before the measurement process is completed, for stopping backward movement of the screw when the measurement process is completed, and the rotational speed and a rotation direction of the screw are controlled such that a back pressure as a pressure of the molten resin measured at the measurement process becomes a target pressure lower than the back pressure of when the measurement process is completed, when a target time comes.
MOULDING ASSEMBLY
Moulding assembly (100) with an inlet (117) for receiving raw material to be ejected, a barrel (112) for gathering and processing the raw material received through the inlet (117), a screw (110) for engaging the raw material in the barrel, a first drive unit (170) configured for rotating the screw (110) in order to grind the raw material into liquid form, where the moulding assembly further comprises a second drive unit (120) configured to displace the screw (110) in a direction essentially perpendicular to the rotation direction in and out of the barrel (112) depending on the pressure in the barrel (112).
