A transforming device for transforming plastic preforms into plastic containers, comprising a blow-molding device which forms a cavity inside which the plastic preforms can be transformed into the plastic containers through the application of a flowable medium, wherein the blow-molding device has at least two side parts which are arranged at least indirectly on blow-mold carriers, wherein the side parts are arranged on the blow-mold carriers by an attachment device is provided. The attachment device also has a return which, at least temporarily during a working mode, pushes at least one side part towards the blow-mold carrier on which the side part is arranged.

Plastic preforms are introduced into a blow mold and are expanded by applying a flowable medium thereto, which is introduced into the internal space of the plastic preforms, wherein the blow mold includes at least two lateral parts which form a cavity during the expansion of the plastic preforms, within which the plastic containers are expanded. The lateral parts are respectively provided on lateral part carriers that are moved relative to each other for opening and closing the blow mold. At least one arrangement of a lateral part carrier and the lateral part provided thereon has an expansion element that can have a gaseous medium applied thereto. The expansion element ensures, when the gaseous medium is applied thereto, that one lateral part is moved towards the other lateral part. During the expansion of the plastic preforms, at least two different pressure levels are applied.

A method for holding together, in its closed state, a blow mold of multipiece design of a blowing station for the blow molding of containers from preforms made of a thermoplastic material using a compressed air-operated mold clamp exerting a holding-together force. The mold clamp is pressurized with compressed air for the purpose of and for the duration of the generation of the holding-together force. The blowing station has a relief valve which can be controlled by control compressed air from a control compressed air line. The mold clamp is pressurized at least at times with control compressed air from the control compressed air line.

A blow molding mechanism molds a final molding product by blowing a gas into an intermediate molding product held by a mold, the blow molding mechanism includes: a suction circuit that suctions the final molding product to attach the final molding product to the mold; and a suppression unit that suppresses a pressure in the suction circuit to a predetermined value or lower.
