Method and device for the production control of an extruded plastic product and extrusion system for extruding such a plastic product
A method for the production control of an extruded plastic product with the following steps: recording at a first measuring point a first actual temperature of a measuring area provided on the plastic product, recording a second actual temperature of the measuring area at a second measuring point which is arranged at a distance from the first measuring point in a direction of extrusion of the plastic product, determining a setpoint temperature of the measuring area at the second measuring point, and outputting information on whether the second actual temperature is inside or outside a prescribed tolerance range of the setpoint temperature.
System and method for extruding composite filament
A method of extruding filament comprises the steps of cutting a bulk source material into pieces having size S.sub.1, performing a first extrusion pass comprising the steps of melting the pieces in an extruding device at a temperature T.sub.1 and extruding a first filament at an extrusion speed V.sub.1, and performing at least one additional extrusion pass k comprising the steps of cutting the first filament into pieces having size S.sub.k, melting the pieces in an extruding device at temperature T.sub.k, and extruding a final filament at an extrusion speed V.sub.k. A system for extruding filament is also described.
System and method for reducing draw resonance in plants for the production of plastic film
A system and method for reducing draw resonance of a plastic material in molten state, so-called melt, leaving an extrusion group of a plant for the production of plastic film, includes at least one thermostatically-controlled cylinder, having an embracement angle of the melt on the cylinder that is adjustable on the basis of the process rate, i.e., the linear movement speed of the plastic film, and/or on the basis of the temperature measured in the proximity of or in correspondence with the clamping area of the melt in a thermoforming, calibration and cooling group included in the plant and positioned downstream of the system.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR DETERMINING THE TEMPERATURE OF A TUBULAR STRAND
A device for determining the temperature of a tubular strand conveyed out of an extrusion device includes at least one temperature sensor configured to measure a first temperature of an outside of the tubular strand at a first position of the tubular strand. An evaluation apparatus further included and configured to compare the first temperature with a second temperature of the outside of the tubular strand at a second position of the tubular strand and determine at least one of a temperature within the tubular strand or a temperature on the inside of the tubular strand at a position of the tubular strand based on the comparison of the first and second temperature.
Method for printing of three-dimensional objects
A method for preventing detachment of a three-dimensional object from a printing tray of a printing apparatus is disclosed. The method includes printing a carpet of building material below and around the base of a three-dimensional object to be printed; and printing said three-dimensional object. The portions of the carpet that protrude out of the boundaries of the base of the three-dimensional object are coated with one or more layers of support material to help keep the carpet flexible and adhesive in texture.
A METHOD FOR CONTINUOUSLY MANUFACTURING UHMWPE PRODUCTS
The present invention relates to a method for continuously manufacturing UHMWPE products comprising:—providing a counter-rotating twin-screw extruder;—feeding UHMWPE powder into a hopper of said counter-rotating twin-screw extruder;—transporting said UHMWPE powder from said hopper through said counter-rotating twin-screw extruder to an outlet of said counter-rotating twin-screw extruder;—further transporting said UHMWPE powder from said outlet of said counter-rotating twin-screw extruder to an entrance of a heat-controlled tooling system for defining the shape of UHMWPE products;—withdrawing said UHMWPE products from an outlet of said heat-controlled tooling system.
ROTATING NOZZLE STRUCTURE AND METHOD
Aspects of the disclosure are directed to methods and apparatus involving the extrusion of polymers or other materials. As may be implemented in accordance with various embodiments, a polymer is delivered into an inlet of a nozzle structure having the inlet and an outlet. The polymer is viscously heated and melted by rotating the nozzle structure about an axis extending through the inlet and the outlet, therein facilitating extrusion of the melted polymer through the nozzle structure outlet. A polymer supply may deliver the polymer into the nozzle structure inlet, and a coupler may facilitation rotation of the nozzle structure. A driver may further operate to control rotation of the nozzle structure relative to the coupler, for instance by generating a rotational output that causes rotation of the nozzle structure.
Diagnostic troubleshooting system for an extrusion system
An extrusion apparatus includes a diagnostic system with a material processing section and an extruder screw disposed for rotation in a barrel and surrounded by a shroud assembly. The apparatus includes a temperature control system with heater sand cooler. The apparatus includes a speed control apparatus that has a drive unit and a speed variation device that is coupled to the extruder screw. The apparatus includes a diagnostic system in communication with the material processing section and/or the speed control apparatus. The diagnostic system includes a sensor system in communication with the material processing section and/or the speed control apparatus; and a computer processor in communication with the sensor system and a computer. The computer processor includes a computer readable medium that employs one or more algorithms and that are executable by the computer to generate signals characterizing performance of the material processing section and/or the speed control apparatus.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR EXTRUDER BARREL AND SHAFT COOLING
A cooling apparatus for an extruder includes a supply line configured to receive bulk coolant from a supply circuit via an inlet. The supply line delivers supply coolant to the extruder along a flow path. A return line communicates expelled coolant from the extruder, and a circulation line connects the supply line to the return line. The circulation line supplies a recirculated portion of the expelled coolant to the supply line and mixes the bulk coolant with the recirculated portion of the expelled coolant forming the supply coolant. A bypass line connects the supply line to the return line, and a flow control valve connects one of the supply line and the return line to the bypass line. A proportion of the expelled coolant to the bulk coolant forming the supply coolant is adjusted by the flow control valve to control the temperature of the supply coolant.
PELLET MILL ROLL TEMPERATURE SENSING
