METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SYNTHETIC RESIN CONTAINER AND SYNTHETIC RESIN CONTAINER
A synthetic resin container and method for manufacturing the same, including a container main body molded into a predetermined container shape and a covering layer laminated on an outer peripheral surface side of the container main body. The method includes heating the composite preform to bring the covering material layer into a molten state or a semi-molten state while softening the preform main body to be stretchable, subsequently molding the composite preform into a predetermined container shape by using a blow molding die in which an edge portion formed by providing a step on a cavity inner peripheral surface extends along a predetermined direction, and providing, in the covering material layer to be molded integrally with the preform main body, a thin portion molded by being brought into pressure contact with the edge portion.
CONTAINER WITH SYNTHETIC RESIN WINDOW, PREFORM, AND PREFORM INJECTION MOLDING APPARATUS
To solve a problem associated with formation of a transparent window portion in a biaxially stretch blow molded container by a nozzle structure of an injection molding apparatus, provided is a biaxially stretch blow molded container formed with a clearly transparent window portion in longitudinal strip shape by effectively preventing mixture of colored resin to window portion. Injection molding apparatus includes in nozzle portion a longitudinal groove flow path, wherein a transparent B resin flows. By, for example, reducing and increasing, respectively, the width and depth of the longitudinal groove flow path on the downstream side, and engraving slits in an inner mandrel and even in a front end portion of a stopper pin, flowability of the B resin in a horizontal direction is enhanced.
METHOD OF FORMING A CONTAINER HAVING A HANGING IMPLEMENT
Ways to produce a container (315, 415, 515, 720, 815, 915) having a shaped tail (610, 910) are provided that include blow molding a precursor having a tail (105, 110, 205, 310, 410, 510, 715, 810, 910) and shaping the tail (105, 110, 205, 310, 410, 510, 715, 810, 910) to form the shaped tail (610, 910). Various types of blow molding can employ various types of precursors having tails (510). Injection blow molding can be used where a preform (105, 200, 305, 405, 505) having a tail (105, 110, 205, 310, 410, 510, 715, 810, 910) is optionally longitudinally stretched and is expanded with a gas or a liquid. Extrusion blow molding can be used where a parison (705) having a tail (105, 110, 205, 310, 410, 510, 715, 810, 910) is expanded. A tail (105, 110, 205, 310, 410, 510, 715, 810, 910) shaping means can be part of the blow molding process or can be employed after the container (315, 415, 515, 720, 815, 915) is produced from the precursor having the tail (105, 110, 205, 310, 410, 510, 715, 810, 910). The shaped tail (610, 910) can impart functionality to the container (315, 415, 515, 720, 815, 915), including where the tail (105, 110, 205, 310, 410, 510, 715, 810, 910) is shaped into a coupling point that can serve as an attachment point, hanging point, or hook, for example.
CONTAINER AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURE
A method for manufacturing a container includes injecting a first material into a first mold to form a top portion of a preform. The first material and a second material are injected into the first mold to form a bottom portion of the preform. The preform is disposed in a second mold. The preform is blow molded into a finished container.
Blow molding method and apparatus for forming squeezable plastic container
A blow mold system including a mold body and a base portion. The mold body includes a central bore extending from a first end of the mold body to a second end of the mold body along a longitudinal axis. The first end is configured to receive a mold preform. The base portion includes a recess, and the base portion is arranged at the second end of the mold body such that the central bore and recess define a blow mold cavity in which a container may be formed from the mold preform. In embodiments, the blow mold system has at least two interchangeable base portions that allow for containers with differently-sized or differently-shaped necks to be formed.
Preform extended finish for processing light weight ecologically beneficial bottles
Disclosed are preforms which incorporate improvements in the region of the neck and upper segment of the body to allow the production of lightweight containers, such as bottles suitable for containing water or other beverages. In accordance with certain embodiments, the improvements include a thinner neck finish area than conventional bottles, where the thinner area is extended into the upper segment of the body portion below the support ring. Reducing the thickness in these areas of the bottle allows for less resin to be used in forming the preform and bottle.
Hollow article molding method and molding apparatus and hollow article
A hollow article is molded in a state where an inner surface of a neck portion including an inner screw portion is held by an inner neck mold, and then, the hollow article is demolded from the inner neck mold by inserting an ejection rod into the hollow article to be engaged with an inner surface of the hollow article and rotating the hollow article together with the ejection rod.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING MULTIPLE PREFORM AND SYNTHETIC RESIN CONTAINER
A method for producing a multiple preform, including a primary injection for injection molding a preform main body using a primary mold, and a secondary injection for injection molding, using a secondary mold, a covering layer that covers the preform main body such that the terminal end side of the covering layer covers the lower surface of the neck ring and reaches the peripheral edge of the neck ring. A projection strip portion is formed when the preform main body is inserted into the secondary mold to be clamped, that projects in a gap in which the covering layer is molded to be in contact with or adjacent to a lower surface of the neck ring, and that extends with a given length along an axis direction, is formed on an inner peripheral surface of the secondary molding mold, thereby forming an easy tear portion in the covering layer.
Container and method of manufacture
A method for manufacturing a container includes injecting a first material into a first mold to form a top portion of a preform. The first material and a second material are injected into the first mold to form a bottom portion of the preform. The preform is disposed in a second mold. The preform is blow molded into a finished container.
Nozzle for reduced outward force on preform finish
A nozzle is provided for engaging with lightweight preforms for blow-molding the preforms into plastic containers without damaging the finish portion of the preforms. The nozzle includes a seal configured to engage with a stepped interior of the finish portion and enables stretching and/or blow-molding the preform into a container. The seal tightly engages a smooth surface inside the finish portion without damaging the surface or a sidewall of the finish portion. In some embodiments, the seal includes a profile shape that mates with a transitional surface comprising the stepped interior of the finish portion. The profile shape distributes the contact force of the seal over a maximal area of the transition surface so as to minimize the total pressure exerted onto the finish portion. The profile shape reduces potential cracking of a thin-walled region of the finish portion during stretching and/or blow-molding the preform to form the container.
