PROCESS FOR IN-MOLD COATING OF COMPOSITE AIRCRAFT COMPONENTS
Processes for forming fiber reinforced composite aircraft components, i.e., aircraft components formed of a cured fiber-reinforced resin, are provided. According to specific embodiments, a finished surface of the composite aircraft component can be achieved by providing in-mold coating of the cured fiber-reinforced resin by a dried and cured film layer of a water-based primer paint material to thereby achieve a composite aircraft component having an exterior surface that does not necessarily require further finishing.
Co-curable film layer application
The present disclosure is directed to a method for applying a multi-colored coating to a composite structure comprising applying a first co-curable film layer comprising a first color marking to a composite tool, applying a second co-curable film layer comprising a second color marking over the composite tool and at least partially over the first co-curable film layer to create a lay-up of a multi-colored marking, applying a composite structure over the lay-up of the multi-colored marking, and curing the lay-up of the multi-colored marking and the composite structure in a single curing step to create a cured multi-colored coating on the composite structure. A multi-colored coating for marking a composite structure and an aircraft part having a multi-colored marking are also provided.
Polyurethane coating compositions and their use as gel coats
Polyurethane coating compositions are disclosed that include an isocyanate-reactive component that includes a polycyclic polyether polyol that is the reaction product of a reaction mixture that includes a polycyclic polyol starter, and an alkylene oxide, as well as an isocyanate-functional component that includes a non-aromatic polyisocyanate. The polyurethane coating compositions may be particularly useful as a gel coat in the manufacture of glass fiber reinforced plastics.
ANTIMICROBIAL MEDICAL GLOVE PRINTING METHOD
A printing process for printing with ink an image on an antimicrobial medical glove formed by a dipping process, wherein the image is first printed on a former and transferred to the glove during dipping.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A MOLDED PRODUCT HAVING A SURFACE WITH SUPPRESSED GLOSS
Provided is a melt molding manufacturing method wherein the mold exhibits excellent molded product releasability over a long period of time, and that can produce a molded product having a matte surface with suppressed surface gloss. The molding manufacturing method for manufacturing the molded product involves forming the melt molded product in a mold having a coating on the surface of the mold, wherein the coating is a layer of fluororesin having dispersed therein oil and filler having an average particle size of 300 nm or less.
COUNTERTOP
The improved mold assembly for cultured marble molding is provided. The mold assembly can comprise a male mold portion and a female mold portion. The assembly can further comprise a molding tool. The molding tool can have a side wall having an upper curved s and a lower curved portion. The molding tool can be constructed from a flexible and/or soft material. The lower curved portion of the molding tool can be coated with a gel coat having a first color. The molding tool can facilitate molding of a countertop having a recessed bowl portion having a color different from a counter portion of the countertop.
Process for the production of an article for the cladding of floors or walls
A process for the production of an article for the cladding of floors or walls, comprising the steps of, in a mold: a) optionally applying a gel coat layer, based on a first curing polymer resin, on the inside of the mold in order to obtain a coated mold, and b) introducing into the core of the mold or into the core of the coated mold from step a) a filling composition which is based on a second curing polymer resin supplemented with at least one mineral filler, wherein core contains at least 5% wt and at most 20% wt of curing polymer resin, relative to the dry amount of filling composition, and the filling composition contains only one single initiator in a concentration of 0.5% wt to 5.0% wt relative to the amount of curing polymer resin in the filling composition.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A FOAMED PLASTIC MOLDED BODY WITH A FILM LAYER COATING
A method for manufacturing a foamed plastic molded body with a film layer coating by using a tool mold with at least one tool cavity to form a shaping mold cavity, including A) heating at least one tool cavity of the tool mold; B) applying a granulate to the at least one heated tool cavity; C) fusing the granulate in the heated tool cavity to form a liquid film layer; D) applying the liquid film layer to a foamed plastic molded body to form a film layer coating on the surface of the plastic molded body by fusing the liquid film layer with the surface of the plastic molded body; and E) cooling the at least one tool cavity and ejecting the plastic molded body coated with the film layer.
Extruded molds and methods for manufacturing composite truck panels
Extruded molds and methods for manufacturing composite structures using the extruded molds are disclosed. The molds may include recessed or raised longitudinal features to impart a corresponding shape to the molded composite structures. The composite structures may be panels used to construct cargo vehicles, for example.
Mold insert for molding a unitary countertop-bowl combination
The improved mold assembly for cultured marble molding is provided. The mold assembly can comprise a male mold portion and a female mold portion. The assembly can further comprise a molding tool. The molding tool can have a side wall having an upper curved s and a lower curved portion. The molding tool can be constructed from a flexible and/or soft material. The lower curved portion of the molding tool can be coated with a gel coat having a first color. The molding tool can facilitate molding of a countertop having a recessed bowl portion having a color different from a counter portion of the countertop.
