METHOD OF FILLING A MICROCAVITY WITH A POLYMER MATERIAL, A FILLER IN A MICROCAVITY, AND AN APPARATUS FOR FILLING A MICROCAVITY ON OR IN A SUBSTRATE WITH A POLYMER MATERIAL
A method of filling a microcavity with layers of a polymer material includes the following steps: (A) estimating a current vertical position of a bottom of the microcavity (current bottom position); (B) lowering the capillary tube into the microcavity towards the current bottom position; (C) dispensing a polymer composition from a tube outlet of the capillary tube under a dispensing applied pressure until the polymer composition substantially fills the microcavity; (D) curing a work piece including the microcavity and the polymer composition in the microcavity to obtain a current layer of the polymer material; and (E) repeatedly executing steps (A), (B), (C), and (D), until the layers of the polymer material have substantially filled the microcavity.
EMBEDDING OBJECTS IN CASTINGS
An apparatus for embedding objects in castings made in batch includes a base comprising a plurality of cavities for molding, each cavity corresponding to an item to be molded; a framework comprising a plurality of gripping mechanisms for suspending objects from the framework into the cavities for embedding the objects within the molded items, each gripping mechanism being configured to release a respective object upon actuation; and, a lifting mechanism transitionable for effecting actuation of the plurality of gripping mechanisms such that objects suspended by the gripping mechanisms are released. A method of casting includes partially filling a plurality of cavities with a liquid; suspending objects from a framework; simultaneously partially sinking the objects into the liquid in the cavities; releasing the objects from the framework after at least partially hardening of the liquid; and fully immersing the objects with the liquid.
SEAT PAD AND SEAT PAD MANUFACTURING METHOD
A seat pad with improved thermal comfort and improved vibration absorptivity and a seat pad manufacturing method for easily obtaining the seat pad are provided. In the seat pad (1), when a surface portion (2) up to 10 mm from a surface (1f) is cut out and the air permeability AR1 of the surface portion (2) is measured in compliance with JIS K 6400, the air permeability AR1 is more than 5 cc/cm.sup.2/sec and 25 cc/cm.sup.2/sec or less. The seat pad manufacturing method is a seat pad manufacturing method for obtaining the seat pad (1) by supplying a molding material into a molding die and performing foam molding. As the molding die, a molding die an inner surface of which is covered with polystyrene or polyethylene is used.
Process for jointing cables
In one example, an apparatus for jointing power cables includes a mold extending along a longitudinal axis, and having a feeding inlet and being made of two halves forming a longitudinal pass-through seat for receiving the cables. An extruder is connected to the feeding inlet. A heating system and a cooling system is associated with the mold. A measuring system for detecting temperature or pressure includes a plurality of probes for detecting temperature or pressure.
LOW-COST, HIGH-VOLUME PRODUCTION METHOD FOR AEROGEL MONOLITH PRODUCTION IN AUTOMOTIVE APPLICATIONS
A method of producing a plurality of parts includes placing a sol mixture into a cavity of a tool, optionally placing a metal foil over a top of the cavity and placing a graphite gasket over the metal foil, and securing the tool with the sol mixture to form a tooling capsule. Tooling capsules are placed within a conveyor system and are heated until the solvent of the sol mixture reaches at least supercritical conditions of the solvent. Pressure is released within each of the tooling capsules after the supercritical conditions are reached, and then the tooling capsules are cooled to approximately room temperature. The parts are removed from the tooling capsules, and the method is continuous.

Apparatus and method for dispensing and curing of liquid media
The present invention relates to an apparatus for dispensing and curing of liquid media, comprising a supply system comprising at least one reservoir for the liquid medium, a nozzle for ejecting the liquid medium into a mould (10) and/or onto a workpiece and means (22) connecting the nozzle and the reservoir; and a microwave system (16,18) which comprises a microwave source (16) for producing microwave radiation for irradiating the liquid medium in an irradiation zone (20) in the supply system, wherein the irradiation zone (20) is arranged between the reservoir and the nozzle. The apparatus further comprises a displacement assembly for translating and/or rotating the nozzle with respect to the mould (10) and/or the workpiece in a controlled manner. According to further aspects, the invention also relates to a system and a method for dispensing and curing of liquid media.
Apparatus and method for vertical slip forming of concrete structures
Apparatus (10) for vertical (72) slip forming of concrete walls and columns (55). The apparatus comprises an attachment portion (23) for a frame with a slipform assembly inside comprising an extrusion form providing side walls defining a cavity and actuators (20) to adjust the position of the side walls forms essentially arranged along the longitudinal axis of the slipform assembly. A concrete supply (45) is connected with the slipform assembly for delivering concrete (52, 53, 54) to that cavity through the top open surface. A mechanism (20) is provided for vertically displacing (72) that slipform assembly incrementally relative to the frame. Thus, a concrete structure (55) having a vertical orientation is continuously cast. The actuators (20) adjust the position of the side walls during the incremental vertical movement (72) of the slipform assembly to create new forms for a column or wall with variable diameter, variable form and/or twisted.
