MOLDED ARTICLE AND IMPROVED VENTING ASSEMBLY FOR A ROTATING MOLD
A molded article with an axis of rotation about a central axis having an outer interface element, an inner interface element, and a plurality of web spokes positioned therebetween. The common surfaces of the inner and outer interface elements and a pair of adjacent web spokes form a void space. The radially inner surface of an interface element common to one of the voids has a maximum radius of curvature in the longitudinal direction at any given point less than the distance between that point and the axis of rotation.
Manufacturing method for high-pressure tank
A manufacturing method for a high-pressure tank includes joining a cylindrical member and dome members to each other so that a first reinforcing layer and a second reinforcing layer to which a cap is attached are formed, and after a resin material is poured inside the first reinforcing layer, rotating the first reinforcing layer so that the resin material covers an inner surface of the first reinforcing layer, and solidifying the resin material so that the liner is formed. The cap is attached to the first reinforcing layer so that a recessed portion in which the resin material is collected is formed between the cap and the first reinforcing layer. After the first reinforcing layer is rotated, the resin material is solidified in a state where the cap side is positioned on a lower side.
Molding process of co-cured short-fiber resin-based damping composite material and molding part
A molding process of a co-cured short-fiber resin-based damping composite material and a molding part. Different from a traditional centrifugal processing process of a thin-walled tube of a resin-based composite material, the process uses raw materials including three kinds of materials with different densities and including two kinds of short-fiber epoxy resin with different densities and a damping material. During centrifugal molding, the three kinds of materials are made into fluids to be respectively injected at a uniform speed in three times according to the sizes of the densities. Layering is performed by using different centrifugal forces applied to the three kinds of materials. Co-curing is performed according to a resin curing process after the three kinds of materials are stably distributed, and a tubular thin-walled part of the embedded co-cured short-fiber resin-based damping composite material with a uniform wall thickness is obtained.
Monolithic thermocasting of polymer mixtures for architectural applications
A monolithic thermocasting system for thermocasting polymer and solid material and method of use having an internal frame system; an external frame system disposed external to the internal frame system; a mold cavity formed between the internal frame system and the external frame system, the mold cavity sized to receive the polymer and solid material and shaped to form an architectural member; a duct; and a heater element disposed in the duct for outputting thermal energy to the mold cavity to heat the polymer and solid material, the thermal energy being sufficient to thermocast the polymer and solid material to a combined building material.
Manufacture of polylactide-based articles by rotational molding
The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing polylactide-based articles by rotational molding and also to the articles obtained by the method.
APPARATUS FOR MANUFACTURING THIN-WALLED BODIES OF REVOLUTION
The technical solution relates to the field of processing polymers and can be used in various branches of the national economy for manufacturing hollow articles of the bodies-of-revolution type (tubes), and in particular for manufacturing semifinished biodegradable polymeric stents which are usable in medicine for replacing hollow organs, for example blood vessels. The apparatus for manufacturing thin-walled bodies of revolution comprises a heatable expander which is mounted rotatably about a longitudinal axis, and a feeder for supplying mouldable material, said feeder being mounted above the expander so as to be movable therealong, wherein the lower part of the feeder is heatable, the expander is hollow with a reflective internal surface, and the heater of the expander is in the form of a laser, the radiation of which is transported into the expander. The use of the apparatus will make it possible to reduce the thermal action on a polymer when producing semi-finished articles with defined geometrical dimensions from polymeric materials.
METHODS FOR MAKING INFLATABLE INTERIOR PANEL ARRANGEMENTS FOR MOTOR VEHICLES
Methods for making inflatable interior panel arrangements for motor vehicles are provided. In one example, a method for making inflatable interior panel arrangement for a motor vehicle includes introducing a molding material into a molding tool that has tooling surfaces. The molding material is contacted with a first tooling surface of the tooling surfaces having a tooling surface temperature different than tooling surface tempe. The molding tool is closed such that the tooling surfaces define a substantially enclosed cavity in the molding tool. An inflatable interior panel is formed comprising rotating the molding tool to cover the tooling surfaces of the substantially enclosed cavity with the molding material. The inflatable interior panel comprises an inflatable bladder section and an outer panel section that is integrally coupled to the inflatable bladder section and that has a panel portion stiffness greater than a bladder portion stiffness of the inflatable bladder section.
