Composite material molding jig and composite material molding method
According to one implementation, a composite material molding jig 3 includes a tubular member 5 and at least one rigid plate member 6 (6A, 6B) so that a composite material structure O (O1, O2) having a hollow structure can be formed easily. The tubular member 5 has flexibility. The at least one rigid plate member 6 (6A, 6B) reinforces strength of the tubular member 5 partially. The tube is used in a state where air is introduced inside the tube. Further, according to one implementation, a composite material molding method includes using the above-mentioned composite material molding jig 3 in order to produce a composite material structure O (O1, O2) so that the composite material structure O (O1, O2) having a hollow structure can be formed easily.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING AT LEAST ONE DRIVE BELT
The invention relates to an apparatus for manufacturing at least one drive belt, comprising a tubular shaping body having a first inner cavity which extends in the longitudinal direction of the shaping body over the entire or predominant length of the shaping body and is surrounded circumferentially by a wall of the shaping body, wherein the inner side of the wall of the shaping body facing the first inner cavity has a shaping surface for abutment and shaping of the drive belt to be produced during the manufacturing process. The invention also relates to a method of manufacturing at least one such drive belt by means of such an apparatus.
ISOSTATIC SIDE-PRESSURE SHIELDED COMPOSITE CONSOLIDATION
A mold for use in the production of a ballistic article from a composite laminate stacked material wherein the mold has a sliding sealing section that nests with a outer perimeter section and base portion so as to shield the sides of the composite laminate stacked material from applied isostatic pressure applied when in an autoclave. By shielding the sides of the composite laminate stacked material excess resin matrix material can be forced from the composite laminate stacked material to provide a uniform composite article with reduced weight and reduced thickness.

CARBONIZATION SHAPE FORMING OF OXIDIZED PAN FIBER PREFORM
A single stage OPF-to-carbon preform shape forming method includes positioning an oxidized PAN fiber preform with a female forming tool, positioning a vacuum bag over the oxidized PAN fiber preform, and vacuum forming the oxidized PAN fiber preform into a shaped body. The vacuum formed shaped body (while still in the shape forming fixture) may be loaded into a carbonization furnace and carbonized. The vacuum bag may be burned away in the carbonization furnace during carbonization.
GOLF CLUB HEAD HAVING A MULTI-MATERIAL FACE AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURE
A golf club with a multi-material face is disclosed herein. More specifically, the golf club head in accordance with the present invention has a multi-material striking face portion that is made out of a backing layer having a frontal pocket, made out of titanium, and an insert, made out of a composite material, adapted to be inserted into the frontal pocket. The frontal pocket and the insert could have complementary dovetail shaped undercut features to create a mechanical bond between these two components. The insert may be bonded to the frontal pocket using an adhesive impregnated within a glass fiber weave.
Molding apparatus, molding method, and manufacturing method of article
An apparatus according to the present exemplary embodiment is an apparatus that forms a composition on a substrate using a mold. The apparatus includes a gas supply unit that supplies gas to a periphery of a space sandwiched between the mold and the substrate, a deforming mechanism that deforms the mold, and a control unit that, in a state in which the gas supply unit increases a density of the gas in the periphery of the space sandwiched between the mold and the substrate, after the deforming mechanism deforms the mold in a concave shape with respect to the substrate and releases the mold from the deformation, brings the mold into contact with the composition on the substrate.
