Embodiment of articles described herein are useful, for example, in cushioning applications where high levels of compression are desired.
DECORATIVE PANEL AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING A PANEL
The invention relates to a floor or wall panel and to a method of producing such panel. The panel comprise at least one core layer comprising at least one composite material, said composite material comprising at least one mineral filler, and at least one thermoplastic binder, which are present in a preferred ratio and composition such that a relatively light weight and rigid panel is obtained.
SURFACE FINISH MANUFACTURING SYSTEM AND PROCESS
This invention relates to a surface finish manufacturing system and process and more particularly, but not exclusively, to a contrast surface finish manufacturing system and process for producing boards with a wood texture finish. The surface finish manufacturing system comprises a top layer and a bottom layer where part of the top layer is removed to expose part of the bottom layer.
BIODEGRADABLE SHEET WITH ANTIVIRAL PROPERTIES, MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF, AND USE THEREOF
Provided are a biodegradable sheet with antiviral properties, a manufacturing method thereof, and the use thereof. The biodegradable sheet comprises: a biodegradable polymer resin consisting of a polylactic acid-based polymer; or a composite degradable polymer resin comprising of a biodegradable resin and a petrochemical resin; and particles of an inorganic antiviral agent or aggregated composite particles of at least two inorganic antiviral agents incorporated into the biodegradable sheet so that the inorganic antiviral agent can be dispersed with a particle size of 100 to 900 nm.
POLYVINYL CHLORIDE (PVC) FOAMED CEILING PANEL AND FABRICATION METHOD THEREOF
A polyvinyl chloride (PVC) foamed ceiling panel and a fabrication method thereof are disclosed. The PVC foamed ceiling panel is made of a PVC resin powder, a filler, a foaming regulator, a composite foaming agent, a calcium-zinc stabilizer, a lubricant, a pigment, a weather resistance modifier, a smoke suppressant, and a flame retardant. The PVC foamed ceiling panel has the advantages of heat resistance, matting, smoke suppression, flame retardancy, environmental friendliness, light weight, small thickness, safety, long-term action, long service life, wide use range, and the like, and can be used for suspended ceilings in residential buildings, office buildings, exhibition halls, conference halls, and the like and for various decorations. The fabrication method of the PVC foamed ceiling panel has the advantages of low cost, high performance, scientific rationality, and simple and easy operation.
Forming mold for making polyvinyl chloride foamed wood-like slats
A forming mold for making polyvinyl chloride foamed wood-like slats includes an inlet, an outlet, and two main flow passages symmetrically arranged with respect to a central axis. The main flow passages each have an inlet section respectively connected to the inlet and an outlet section respectively connected to the outlet. The extension direction of the inlet section of each main flow passage respectively defines with the central axis an included angle therebetween. The sum of the angles of the two included angles ranges from 44.2 to 48.8 degrees. The width of the main flow passages gradually increases from the inlet toward the outlets. The height of the main flow passages gradually reduces from the inlet toward the outlets. In this way, the forming mold of the present invention can effectively improve production efficiency and can increase the stability of the product manufacturing process.
COMPOSITE HOUSE WRAP FORMED OF LOW DENSITY POLYETHYLENE FOAM WITH EVACUATED CLOSED CELLS AND HAVING TORTUOUS PATHS OF THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY
A house wrap for a building comprises a reinforcing drainage plane layer configured to face the outside of the building; a breathable, non-perforated barrier film bonded to the drainage plane layer; and at least one insulating layer including a perforated expanded low density polyethylene foam layer, wherein in the expanded low density polyethylene layer at least 80% of the blowing agents are dissipated from closed cells within the expanded low density polyethylene layer, forming evacuated closed cells whereby a partial vacuum is formed within the closed cells of the low density polyethylene layer.
Method of making coextruded, cross-linked polyolefin foam with TPU cap layers
The present disclosure is directed to a physically crosslinked, closed cell continuous multilayer foam structure comprising at least one foam polypropylene/polyethylene layer with a TPU cap layer. The multilayer foam structure can be obtained by coextruding a multilayer structure comprising at least one foam composition layer with at least one cap composition layer, irradiating the coextruded structure with ionizing radiation, and continuously foaming the irradiated structure.
Die for extrusion and method of designing die for extrusion
There is provided a die for extrusion in which an undesired reaction is suppressed in an inside thereof and with which variation in thickness of a resin sheet to be obtained can be reduced. A die for extrusion of the present invention includes: a cylindrical inflow port into which a molten resin flows; a manifold connected to the inflow port; a first slit connected to the manifold; a second slit connected to the first slit; and a lip land connected to the second slit. In the die for extrusion, the shape of a flow path is optimized based on a relationship among a position in the die, an operation time, and a vulcanization degree.
Process for forming closed cell expanded low density polyethylene foam and products formed thereby
The process for forming closed cell expanded low density polyethylene foam includes the steps of: providing a mixture including low density polyethylene pellets and an effective amount of hydrocarbon scavenger additives or degassing agents, such as glycerides; adding a primary blowing agent comprising one of liquid propane, liquid butane, and combinations thereof, to the mixture and gasifying the blowing agent to expand the low density polyethylene; forming the expanded low density polyethylene into sheets, curing the expanded low density polyethylene until 80%, generally at least 99%, of the primary blowing agent is dissipated from cells within the expanded low density polyethylene forming evacuated closed cell low density polyethylene sheets.
