The panel-type rigid composite component has at least one tray-like recess on its inner side, said recess being filled with an open-pored foam material which forms the acoustic insulation layer and whose surface is flush with a surface of the composite component surrounding the recess. A motor vehicle roof shell motor vehicle having a panel-type rigid composite component having an inner side, which faces the vehicle interior, and an acoustic insulation layer disposed on the inner side of the composite component, wherein the acoustic insulation layer is formed by at least one rigid-foam or semi-rigid-foam plate which is bonded to the inner side of the composite component and compressed that its volume is reduced compared to preassembly state.
Process To Manufacture Ultra High Filled Urethane Foam
A process for manufacturing a urethane foam pad comprising the steps of: providing a urethane resin and a filler agent; mixing a predetermined amount of the filler agent with the urethane resin to create a urethane mixture within a mold container; drawing a vacuum on the urethane mixture; allowing the urethane mixture to expand and gel for a predetermined amount of time to form an expanded urethane foam pad; releasing the vacuum on the urethane mixture; and removing the expanded urethane foam pad from the mold container.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MANUFACTURING AN EMBOSSED SANDING SPONGE
A method and apparatus for manufacturing an embossed sanding sponge includes a first roller, a press base, and a conveyor. The first roller is mounted about an axis and configured to be rotatably driven about the axis. The first roller also includes a circumferential surface having a predetermined channel pattern. The press base is positioned proximate to the first roller and configured to compress the sponge material against the first roller. The conveyor has a support surface configured to translate and support the sponge material. In use, the circumferential surface of the roller engages the sponge material. The roller and the sponge material respectively rotate and translate in order to continuously press the predetermined channel pattern against the sponge material for manufacturing the embossed sanding sponge.
Curved duct, and method and machine for producing it
A duct that, in cross section, has one or more rounded portions is disclosed together with a method and a machine for producing it. The duct can be made from rigid foam panels with a facing on at east one side of the panels. A crimping element is used to form several substantially parallel indentations or crimps on a faced side of a panel, without breaching the facing, so that the crimped panel can be manipulated to form a section of duct with the crimps extending longitudinally. Depending on the number of crimps, the duct will appear more or less round in cross section although the crimped foam panels can be manipulated to have cross sections of different shapes such as oval. Adjacent duct sections may be joined, for example, with tape or bands, several of which are described.
METHOD AND HOUSEHOLD APPLIANCE
In a method for producing an insulation arrangement for a functional compartment of a household appliance, a plastic material is foamed to form a foam block. The foam block is divided into blanks and each blank is shaped with a forming press to form an insulation arrangement.
Apparatuses and methods for producing a shower tray
The method of producing a shower tray using a shower tray blank is disclosed. The method may comprise identifying a drain location on the shower tray blank. The method may further comprise deflecting the shower tray blank at an internal location relative to a shower tray perimeter of the shower tray blank along the depth dimension to a deflected state. The method may also comprise cutting the shower tray blank along a plane generally perpendicular to a depth dimension of the shower tray blank when the shower tray blank is in the deflected state to form the shower tray and a discarded portion. An apparatus for producing a shower tray is also disclosed.
VISUAL METAL PANEL QUALITY DETECTION BASED ON CUTTING EDGE
The invention is directed at a method for determining the quality of a foamed unit (1), wherein the foamed unit (1) is produced by forming solidified foam (2), wherein a foamed unit edge (5) is formed by cutting through the foamed unit (1), wherein a camera (7) captures an image (8) of the foamed unit edge (5), wherein the image (8) is analyzed to detect defects (9) in the foamed unit edge (5) and wherein quality information data (11) describing the detected defects (9) is generated based on the analysis of the image (8). The method is characterized in that the foamed unit (1) is produced by a production apparatus based on production parameters (17), which production parameters (17) comprise production variables (18) measured by production instruments (20) during the production of the foamed unit (1) and/or production settings (19) input to the production apparatus, wherein based on the quality information data (11) updated production settings (21) are generated, preferably, that the updated production settings (21) are input to the production apparatus, wherein the updated production settings (21) are generated by applying the quality information data (11) and the production parameters (17) to a calculation model (22), which calculation model (22) provides a computational relationship between the production parameters (17) and the quality information data (11), preferably, that a computer system (10) generates the updated production settings (21) by applying the quality information data (11) and the production parameters (17) to the calculation model (22), in particular, that the calculation model (22) is saved on the computer system (10).The invention is also directed at a corresponding system for determining the quality of a foamed unit (1).
