Facial interfaces for head-mounted displays and related systems and methods
A head-mounted display may include a frame for supporting an electronic display for viewing by an intended user donning the head-mounted display. The frame may include a flange disposed on a perimeter area of the frame and a facial interface configured to abut against an intended user's face wherein the facial interface comprises a foam body and an undercut region in the foam body that is sized and shaped for detachably engaging with the flange of the frame. Various other apparatuses, systems, and methods are also disclosed.

A molding device and an injection molding method thereof are provided. The molding device includes a first mold, a second mold and a sealing ring. The first mold includes a first body and at least one slide. The at least one slide is movably and detachably disposed on the first body, and has an undercut. The injection molding method includes operations of: engaging the first mold with the second mold of the molding device; filling a mold cavity defined by the first mold and the second mold with a gas, wherein the gas is blocked by the sealing ring disposed between the first mold and the second mold; injecting a molding material into the mold cavity; and opening the first mold and the second mold of the molding device.
METHOD FOR MOLDING AND FORMING FLIP-FLOP AND MOLD THEREOF
A main technical feature of a method for molding and forming a flip-flop and a mold thereof provided by the invention is that when a polymer raw material is filled into a mold chamber space of the mold, the filled raw material is preferentially flowed in a direction of a strap area space used to mold a V-shaped strap portion of the flip-flop to ensure that the slender V-shaped strap portion of the flip-flop can be integrally formed.

An apparatus for making a foam material body has a mold comprising at least two mold halves fittable together to form separate first and second mold cavities; a first sprue opening into the first mold cavity, and a second sprue opening into the second mold cavity. The mold parts can be moved between an open and a closed position. Foam can be injected into the first and second mold cavities through the respective sprues. A passage, for example, connects the sprue with the mold cavity. The first mold cavity and the second mold cavity are partitioned from one another in the closed position of the mold.

A method produces an elastically deformable molded part having a number of undercut molded-part regions, by use of a mold. To provide a technique which makes it possible to produce individual molded parts which are elastically deformable and have undercut regions from soft materials in a precise and cost-effective manner, a method is performed in which a molded-part material is introduced into the mold. The mold has a shaping contour with a number of special contour regions, which are configured for shaping the number of undercut molded-part regions of the molded part, and in which the molded part is removed from the mold by at least partially deforming the mold together with the molded part therein in such a way that the molded part elastically deforms and the mold at least partially, but in any event to the extent of the special contour regions, breaks up.

Collapsible core devices, related methods and injection molding tools for use in injection molding processes, the core device configured to collapse upon rotation of a centrally disposed rotating shaft. In some aspects the core device includes a rotatable shaft, moveable outer wall components positioned radially from the shaft, a first disk operatively engaged with the shaft and having at least a first slot configured to receive a first pin connected to a moveable outer wall component, and a second disk secured in a fixed position and having at least a second slot configured to receive the first pin, such that rotation of the rotatable shaft causes the pin to slide within the second slot toward the shaft and causing the outer wall component to move toward the shaft.
