Acoustic attenuation panel comprising a front skin and a central structure

An acoustic attenuation panel for a propulsion assembly includes an acoustic front skin having perforations, and a central structure formed from partitions arranged perpendicularly in order to make up cells, wherein the front skin and the central structure form the panel which is made as a single piece and is provided for directly covering a surface of an element of the propulsion assembly forming a rear skin which closes the cells of the central structure at the rear.

Materials and Methods

Multi-layered articles or products comprising layers of filled polymer compositions, methods of making and applications or uses thereof.

ACTIVE GRILLE SHUTTER IN-TOOL ASSEMBLY

A method of in tool formation and assembly of an active grille shutter system, followed by an automated testing process. The method includes providing a tool having a plurality of sliders that assist in the formation and assembly of the active grille shutter system. The components of the active grille shutter system are individually formed in a single tool, with each of the components being spaced apart from each other. After formation of the components a number of sliders and an end of arm tool push the components together to form the assembled active grille shutter system. The end of arm tool then takes the assembled active grille shutter system to a testing station where the operation is checked.

A method for manufacturing a vacuum insulated structure includes positioning an inner liner within an external wrapper and defining a gap between the inner liner and the external wrapper, drawing a vacuum to seal the gap, and injecting a first insulator into the gap. The method further includes positioning a filter proximate to the first insulator within the gap and injecting a second insulator into the gap proximate to the filter.

Method for forming a molded component for an item

A process for producing molded products having portions formed with two separate materials is provided. The process involves forming a first component over a structural core in a first step, and forming a second component that is secured to the first component and the core in a second step. The second component can be formed directly over the first component or can be secured thereto after formation. The first and second components can additionally be formed with indicia thereon, or with recesses within which inserts containing the desired indicia can be positioned. Additionally, the first component can be formed with a ridge disposed on a projection formed on the first component that effectively seals off a portion of the first component when the second component is formed around the core and the first component to ensure the portion of the first component surrounded by the ridge remains visible after formation of the second component.

Manufacturing method of liquid ejection head

A manufacturing method of a liquid ejection head including manufacturing a flow path constituting member for supplying a liquid to an ejection module, the manufacturing a flow path constituting member including using a metal mold which is constituted of a fixed mold and a movable mold, the manufacturing a flow path constituting member including: a first step of molding a first member, a second member, and a third member independently at locations different from each other in the metal mold, the first member, the second member, and the third member constituting the flow path constituting member; a second step of joining the first member and the second member in a specific manner; and a third step of joining the second member and the third member in a specific manner.

In the process of making a hollow product, especially a deformable toy ball, two halves made from an elastomeric material, a thermoplastic material, rubber, a blend of rubbers, or a thermoplastic elastomer are formed by injection molding with mating edges that engage with each other when the halves are assembled to form the product. The edge of one of the two halves is advantageously formed with a recess centered in the edge, in which a flange formed on the edge of the other of the two halves engages to provide a form-fitting connection between the two halves. The opposing edges are then bonded with each other by fusion or melting or by an adhesive applied to at least one of the edges prior to assembling the halves together. A deformable ball produced by the process is also described.

TWO-PART FASTENER

A system for manufacturing a two-part fastener may include a fastener-molding housing and an actuating assembly. The fastener-molding housing may include a fastener mold having a first mold section connected to a second mold section through a flash connection mold section. The fastener mold is configured to receive fastener-forming material to form a pre-engaged fastener having a first fastener portion within the first mold section and a second fastener portion within the second mold section. The first fastener portion is temporarily secured to the second fastener portion through a flash connection portion formed within the flash connection mold section. The an actuating assembly includes a stripper plate, a connecting member, and at least one ejection member. The connecting member is configured to securely retain the first fastener portion. The stripper plate is configured to be moved relative to the connecting member in order to drive one of the first or second fastener portions into the other of the first or second fastener portions to form a fully-formed fastener. The ejection member is configured to eject the fully-formed fastener from the actuating assembly
