Apparatus for molding an elongated hollow article
A molding apparatus includes a mold comprising a stationary outer mold with a substantially tubular mold cavity, a moveable end mold with an end mold cavity alignable with the tubular mold cavity, and a stationary elongated mold core with a fluid channel therethrough, the mold core extending through the tubular cavity into the end mold cavity. A method of using the apparatus includes injecting a molding material at a material flow rate into the mold, moving the end mold at a speed in a linear direction from a first position to a second position, supplying a fluid at a fluid flow rate to the fluid channel, and varying at least one of the material flow rate, the end mold speed and the fluid flow rate as the end mold moves from the first position to the second position.
Injection-molding device, projectile injection process and related devices
An injection-molding device for producing a hollow-formed plastic object, at least comprising a mold for the primary shaping of the plastic object, an injection device for at least partially introducing a flowable polymer melt into a cavity within the mold and a fluid injection device for introducing a pressurized fluid and for driving a projectile through the polymer melt introduced into the cavity, the mold comprising a mold wall and a mold core that is arranged at least partially within the mold wall, the projectile being formed at least partially in such a hollow-formed manner that it is arranged on the mold core and is movable along a longitudinal extent of the mold core on the latter. A projectile injection process for producing a hollow-formed plastic object with this injection-molding device and a hollow-formed plastic object produced by this process.
Method of manufacturing resin pipe
Two molded articles having a cylindrical two-piece split shape is formed by forming two primary cavities in a desired shape with molds assembled together and injecting a molten primary resin into the two primary cavities. An assist material is injected into a secondary cavity into which a molten secondary resin is injected in a state where the two molded articles are located opposed to each other via a space therebetween and internally fitted into one secondary cavity formed by the molds that are assembled together by shifting the positions. A flange portion having any desired shape is disposed on an outer circumferential surface of a resin pipe in a two-layer structure in which an inner surface layer formed of the cured secondary resin is integrated with an outer surface layer formed of the two molded articles. Thus, a portion having any desired shape is easily manufactured on the resin pipe.
