METHOD OF PRODUCING INJECTION MOLDED ARTICLES
Injection molded articles and methods of making injection molded articles. The methods include the use of a first plasticizing unit and a second plasticizing unit on a common frame feeding a first mold and a second mold on the common frame. Separating the production of each part of a two-part article into separate plasticizers and molds allows for the tuning of production parameters on a per-part basis, improving part flatness and part-to-part weight variance.
Material feeding device, injection molding device, and three-dimensional modeling device
The material feeding device is configured so that in the state in which a hopper having an opening part and containing a material is attached to a coupling member configured so that the hopper is detachably attached to the coupling member, when the hopper is located in a first area, a first member configured to be able to make a sliding displacement on a slide surface having the first area where a feed hole is disposed makes the sliding displacement to a third area different from the first area to make it possible to take a communicated state in which the opening part and the feed hole are communicated with each other, and when the hopper is located in a second area, the first member makes a sliding displacement to the first area to make it possible to take a non-communicated state in which the first member covers the feed hole. The material feeding device takes the non-communicated state at least when the hopper is detached from the coupling member via a detachably attaching part disposed in the second area extending along a direction in which the first area extends.

METHOD FOR DRIPLESS LIQUID COLOR DELIVERY USING A DRIPLESS LIQUID COLOR FEED THROAT ADAPTOR
Apparatus and methods for converting resin into colored finished or semi-finished plastic parts include a process machine having a barrel, a rotatable screw inside the barrel, and a color feed conduit assembly extending into the barrel for passage of liquid color through the color feed conduit assembly into proximity with the screw.
Heat Exchanger Having an Interference Rib
One aspect of this disclosure provides a heat exchanger that comprises a first panel half coupled to a corresponding second panel half that form a passageway having at least a first chamber adjacent an inlet end of the passageway and a second chamber and overlapping interference patterns formed in each of the first and second panel halves that extend along at least a portion of the length of the passageway and located between at least the first and second chambers.

Conveying device for conveying a viscous material from a container, and method for operating the conveying device
A conveying device for conveying a viscous material from a container includes a follower plate that can be inserted into the container, and a pump by means of which the viscous material can be conveyed through the follower plate. Moreover, a measuring chamber for accommodation of a measuring sample of the viscous material is provided. The measuring chamber includes a closable material inlet opening for this purpose. A closable disposal line leads away from the measuring chamber. Moreover, a closable material return line extends from the measuring chamber via the follower plate into the container. The conveying device also includes a controller that is designed and can be operated appropriately such that it determines the compressibility of each of multiple measuring samples. The controller opens the disposal line or the material return line to the measuring sample present in the measuring chamber as a function of the compressibility thus determined.
HOT-RUNNER MOLD AND DEVICE FOR MANUFACTURING RESIN CONTAINER
A hot runner mold includes a hot runner mold body portion that is fixed to a fixing plate and supplies a molten resin received from a resin inlet to an injection mold, a nozzle receiving portion that is disposed to be inclined with respect to a position orthogonal to the resin inlet of the hot runner mold body portion and is coaxially connected to a nozzle of an injection device that supplies the molten resin, a relay portion that has a resin flow path having a bent portion therein and guides the molten resin from the nozzle receiving portion to the resin inlet, and a regulating portion that is fixed to the fixing plate and regulates movement of the nozzle receiving portion or the relay portion with respect to the hot runner mold body portion.
FREE BLEND-TYPE METAL POWDER MIXED RESIN MOLDED BODY MANUFACTURING METHOD
An object is to manufacture molded bodies having a small variation among products even if the mixture amount of a metal powder is increased when molding is performed by directly introducing not only a metal powder but also a powdered resin into an injection molding machine.
In a metal powder mixed resin molded body manufacturing method for manufacturing a molded body by kneading a molding material including a metal powder, a thermoplastic resin powder, and an additive agent, molding is performed by an injection molding machine in which a molding screw is arranged. The molding screw of the injection molding machine includes a feeding portion, a compressing portion, and a metering portion that are continuously and integrally provided, the feeding portion and the compressing portion are constituted by an one-line spiral flight, the flight of the compressing portion includes a plurality of sub-flights that extend in a spiral manner in a screw axis direction and the sub-flights each have a polygonal shape with rounded corner portions, and the sub-flights are arranged such that the corner portions are shifted by a set angle in a circumferential direction about the screw axis, and the metering portion is provided with a plurality of blending/aligning portions each having gear-like protrusions and recesses in a circumferential direction about the screw axis.
Primer compositions for injection molding
A curable primer composition comprising:(a) a curable component such as methacrylate; (b) a cure initiating component; and (c) a polymer material selected from the group consisting of: (i) block polymers represented by S-A-S where S is polystyrene and A stands for a polymer or copolymer formed from one or more of ethylene, propylene, butylene, and styrene, which are optionally substituted with carboxylic acid or maleic anhydride; provided that when A comprises styrene then A is a copolymer of styrene with at least one of ethylene, propylene and butylene, and is optionally substituted with carboxylic acid or maleic anhydride; and (ii) polystyrene-poly(ethylene-propylene) (“SEP”); and (iii) any combination of said polymer materials. The composition is applied to a part then photocured. It is dry to touch. Thereafter a thermoplastic material such as a polyolefin is overmolded (e.g. injection molded) over the applied composition. It enhances bond strength of the polyolefin to the part.
