The injection molded article includes: a base as a thin plate-shaped member that is connected to a gate of the mold; and a plurality of protrusions each integrally molded on the base and having a thickness greater than a plate thickness of the base. The plurality of protrusions have holes each extending through the base, and the holes in the respective protrusions are connected through another component to form a flow channel. A processed region processed to have a surface roughness greater than a surface roughness of a mirror surface region including a region between the holes on the base is formed in a projected region where a region having a predetermined thickness value is projected on the base.

The first ventilation passage and the second ventilation passage communicate with each other by allowing the bottom portion to communicate with the bifurcated portions provided at an end portion of the second ventilation passage. A portion where the first ventilation passage and the second ventilation passage communicate with each other is narrowest in the ventilation passage.

An electrically conductive pin element is inserted into the pin recess such as to guide the pin element through the lead recess of the pin recess.

The ferrule walls have a first thickness at the outer slots and a second thickness at the regions between the outer slots which is thicker than the first thickness. The main chamber includes sink locations adjacent the regions between the outer slots.

Thermoplastic compositions, methods, apparatus, and uses

Thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) compositions, methods for producing TPU compositions, methods of using TPU compositions, and apparatuses produced therefrom are disclosed. Disclosed TPU compositions include a thermoplastic polyurethane polymer, a heat stabilizer, a flow agent, and a filler material. The filler may be a glass fiber. Disclosed TPU compositions have improved thermal stability and improved flow properties suitable for injection molding of articles of manufacture having a large plurality of fine openings or pores. Articles produced from the composition have superior thermal stability, abrasion resistance, and chemical resistance. Example articles include screening members for vibratory screening machines. Further embodiments include compositions without heat stabilizers, flow agents, and filler materials, and compositions in which two TPU materials having different harnesses are combined to generate a material with a pre-determined hardness. Injection molded screen elements having openings from 25 to 150 microns and open screening area from 10% to 35% are disclosed.

Methods and systems for creating cold plates are disclosed. For example, in one example method for manufacturing a cold plate made of a thermally-conductive plastic includes performing a first injection-molding process using the thermally-conductive plastic to produce a first unitary body, the first unitary body including one or more elongated sections forming a unitary body, performing a second injection-molding process using the thermally-conductive plastic to produce a second unitary body, the second unitary body incorporating the first unitary body so as to cover a majority of the first unitary body and form a respective coolant pipe body corresponding to each elongated section, and performing a machining process on the second unitary body so as to create a conduit in each respective coolant pipe body suitable for a fluid to pass through to create respective coolant pipes.

Reusable drinking straw

A drinking straw has an elongated body with a longitudinal flow channel. The user end of the body is closed and rounded for safety. A pair of lateral channels open onto the body adjacent the user end and provide fluid communication to the flow channel. The straw is injection molded, and a mold is provided which accommodates thermal expansion of a rod forming the flow channel. A pair of opposed cavity inserts form the lateral channels. To reduce bending stresses on the rod upon removal of the cavity inserts, one cavity insert is formed longer to the other. This longer cavity insert is removed prior to opening of the mold plates, and as such the straw and rod are supported against bending during this removal.
