An opening/closing apparatus according to an embodiment includes: a fixed platen 20 to which one mold 21 of a pair of molds is to be mounted; a movable platen 22 to which the other mold 23 is to be mounted; a pressure-receiving platen 24 connected to the fixed platen 20 via tie bars 36; an opening/closing mechanism for opening/closing the molds by moving the movable platen 22 back and forth, including a toggle link mechanism 28 connecting the pressure-receiving platen 24 and the movable platen 22; a first drive mechanism for driving the opening/closing mechanism; and a second drive mechanism 50 for applying a load to the movable platen 22 in a given direction in conjunction with the first drive mechanism.
MOULD-CLOSING UNIT FOR AN INJECTION-MOULDING MACHINE FOR PROCESSING PLASTICS
In a mould-closing unit (F) for an injection-moulding machine for processing plastics, at least one mould carrier (10), which can be moved in a longitudinal direction (L-L) of the mould-closing unit (F), is arranged on a machine base (14) and between itself and a further mould carrier (12) forms a mould-clamping space (C), in which parts of at least one cyclically openable and closable injection mould (M) can be received. At least one linear guide (16), arranged in the longitudinal direction (L-L) on the machine base (14), serves for guiding the at least one movable mould carrier (10) when there is movement in the longitudinal direction (L-L). The mould carrier is supported on the machine base (14) and/or the at least one linear guide (16) by way of a load take-up (18), which has above the at least one linear guide (16) an articulating region (20) for the at least one movable mould carrier (10), which region is connected to the movable mould carrier with a force fit or material bonding and the stiffness of which is greater in the longitudinal direction (L-L) than in a direction transverse to the longitudinal direction (L-L). The forces acting on the guide of the movable mould carrier during the operation of the injection-moulding machine are minimized by the load take-up (18) and/or the articulating region (20) being elliptical in cross section, with the minor axis of the ellipse extending in a direction transverse to the longitudinal direction (L-L) of the mould-closing unit (F).
Safety apparatus
A safety apparatus includes a safety bar that is capable of moving in a mold clamping direction and a mold opening direction, in conjunction with a moving platen provided with a movable mold, and a latch that contacts the safety bar when a door, which is provided in a cover of an injection molding device, is open, wherein the latch includes a notch in a surface thereof on the mold-opening-direction side.
Clamping unit for a moulding machine and moulding machine comprising such a clamping unit
A clamping unit for a moulding machine, including a toggle mechanism. A movable moulding platen is movable with respect to a stationary moulding platen and/or can be acted on by a force of the toggle mechanism. The toggle mechanism is drivable by at least two drive units, and the at least two drive units are each connected in an articulated manner to at least one movably mounted toggle lever element of the toggle mechanism via at least one bearing point formed as an articulation.
