SPINNING DIE FOR MELT-BLOWING
A spinning die for melt-blowing has plastic passages, a hot air passage, and an opening surface, in which discharge ports and blowing ports open. Adjacent and closest two of the discharge ports are first and second proximate discharge ports. One of the blowing ports corresponding to the first proximate discharge port is a first proximate blowing port, and one of the blowing ports corresponding to the second proximate discharge port is a second proximate blowing port. The first proximate blowing port includes a guide portion that projects away from the center of the first proximate discharge port. The guide portion is formed such that, as the distance from the opening surface increases, the hot air flow guided by the guide portion flows to be separated away from the hot air flow blown onto the molten plastic discharged from the second proximate discharge port.
EXTRUSION TOOLING AND PROCESS FOR BIODEGRADABLE COMPONENT
An example extrusion system includes a die including a circular cross-section disposed about an axis, and a plurality of slits disposed in the die and circumferentially spaced about a periphery of the die. Each of the plurality of slits has a generally rectangular cross-section. A ratio of a number of slits comprising the plurality of slits to a distance between the plurality of slits is between approximately 144:1 and 96:1. A method of forming a biodegradable component with an extrusion system is also disclosed.
HEAD AND SYSTEM FOR CONTINUOUSLY MANUFACTURING COMPOSITE HOLLOW STRUCTURE
A head is disclosed for use with a continuous manufacturing system. The head may have a housing configured to receive a matrix and a continuous fiber, and a diverter located at an end of the housing. The diverter may be configured to divert radially outward a matrix-coated fiber. The head may also include a cutoff having an edge configured to press the matrix-coated fiber against the diverter.
OVERTURNING DEVICE FOR OVERTURNING MOLTEN MATERIAL AND RINSING METHOD
The present invention relates to an overturning device (10) for overturning a molten material (200) in a melt channel (110) comprising a melt inlet (20) and a melt outlet (30), wherein between the melt inlet (20) and the melt outlet (30) at least a melt guidance means (40) is assembled for a rearrangement of molten material (200) from the centre (22) of the melt inlet (20) to the edge (34) of the melt outlet (30) and for a rearrangement of molten material (200) from the edge (24) of the melt inlet (20) into the centre (32) of the melt outlet (30).
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR APPLYING ANNULAR DOSES
A method and an apparatus for forming annular doses provides a flow of plasticised material supplied by an extruder which passes through a channel that is first cylindrical and then annular. The material exits from an annular outlet in front of which a cutting element passes that separates an annular dose of material. The dose is deposited on a surface of a capsule having a capacity to adhere to the dose that is greater than the cutting element. The surface and the cutting element are distanced from one another in such a manner that the annular dose remaining adhering to the capsule is detached from the element. Detachment can be promoted by a flow of air.

FILM FORMING APPARATUS
A film forming apparatus includes a die device which extrudes a molten resin in a tube shape to form a film, a measurement unit which measures a thickness profile of a film in a circumferential direction, a plurality of adjustment portions which change the thickness profile of the film, and a controller which controls the plurality of adjustment portions such that the thickness profile approaches a target thickness profile. The controller changes the target thickness profile based on the measured thickness profile.
Polyurethane Tube
Provided herein is a polyurethane tube having a small bending repulsive stress and superior inner-pressure creep characteristics in a flexible polyurethane tube. The present polyurethane tube has a bending repulsive stress of 0.035 N/mm.sup.2 or less, wherein the polyurethane tube is formed so that the difference between the storage elastic modulus E.sub.30 at 30 C. and the storage elastic modulus E.sub.80 at 80 C. is 15% or less of E30.
Method of manufacturing porous separator comprising elastic material, porous separator manufactured by the method, and secondary battery comprising the separator
Disclosed is a method of manufacturing a porous separator including an elastic material, and a separator manufactured by the method. The separator includes an elastic material being uniformly dispersed in a polymer at a weight ratio of 40:60 to 5:95, and a value of elongation at break in a low tensile strength direction at room temperature is greater than or equal to 250%. In addition, the method of manufacturing a porous separator includes forming an extruded sheet by extruding a mixture of a polymer and an elastic material at a weight ratio of 95:5 to 60:40, forming a film by annealing and stretching the extruded sheet, and forming a porous separator by heat setting the stretched film. Accordingly, a thermal shrinkage ratio of the film is reduced and an elongation at break is greatly increased, to provide a porous separator with improved stability.
TEARABLE TUBE FORMED FROM FLUORORESIN
The objective of the present invention is to provide a tube which is formed from a fluororesin and has excellent tearability and inner surface smoothness. A tube formed from a fluororesin according to the present invention is tearable in the longitudinal direction, and is formed from one thermoplastic fluororesin that is different from polytetrafluoroethylenes.
