Rotary screen filtering device for medium to high-viscosity fluids and sealing and mounting method therefor
On a rotary screen filtering device for medium to high-viscosity fluids, which comprises a rotary screen mounted for rotation in a housing, which screen has at least one screen element through which fluid can flow, the rotary screen, in the region of its sealing faces and the intermediate plates are fabricated or machined together so that they are of identical height. A gap width compensation layer is then inserted between the inlet plate and the intermediate plate and/or between the outlet plate and the intermediate plate. The package of plates is then pretensioned by means of screw bolts in such a manner that all the plates lie firmly against one another up to a maximum permissible operating pressure. Lubrication gaps of defined width are created between the sealing faces and the opposing inner faces of the inlet and outlet plates.

The invention relates to an extrusion nozzle for an extrusion device for extruding plastic profiles, having at least one nozzle plate (1) which has at least one flow channel (2) for plastic melt, and at least one insert element (4) which is inserted into the at least one flow channel (2) in order to reduce a cross-sectional area of the at least one flow channel (2) through which the plastic melt can flow. At least one holding device (3) is provided in the at least one flow channel (2), on which the at least one insert element (4) is arranged.
Extrusion facility comprising an improved extrusion head
The facility for manufacturing a profile strip made from several elastomer mixtures with different compositions by coextrusion includes at least two extruders which feed elastomer mixtures to an extrusion head. The extruders discharge directly into the extrusion head, which is interchangeable and groups together all of the dimensional tooling.
SINGLE SCREW MICRO-EXTRUDER FOR 3D PRINTING
A single screw micro-extruder for a 3D printer includes a feed chamber with an opening for receiving solid plastic pellets. An extrusion barrel extends from the feed chamber and has an inner conically shaped bore between input and output ends. The bore has a mouth at the input end and an exit opening at the output end with a melt section therebetween. A rotatable screw is attached to a torque drive of the printer, and extends through the feed chamber and conical bore of the barrel. A constant or tapered diameter of the screw root core, from the input end toward the output end of the barrel, forms a decreasing channel root depth in a helical path for compression between a root core surface and an inner surface of the bore for pressurizing melt in the melt section of the barrel to exit an extrusion nozzle.
NOZZLE FOR AN EXTRUDER WITH VARIABLE FLOW CONTROL
A nozzle is provided for controlling the flow of extruded material, such as e.g., rubber material, from an extrusion machine. Movable pins are positioned into the path of material flow through an internal cavity. The pins are arranged across the path of flow upstream of the extrusion die. By moving the pins in and out, the flow of material through the cavity can be controlled at different locations across the width of the path of flow to the die. Manual and automatic controls can be provided for determining the position of the pins and thereby controlling the flow.
High pressure relief assembly and assembly locking device for use with extruders
The invention provides devices that are attached to an extruder making the operation thereof more efficient and convenient and allowing for a quick change over of parts used to make various products prepared in the extrusion process. A high pressure relief assembly is attached to the extruder that allows for the rapid release of pressure from the extruder at the end of the process by venting product under pressure from the extruder and the extruder also has attached thereto a quick assembly locking device that allows for the exchange of assemblies, such as a density control assembly and other assembles, without the removal of nuts, bolts, and clamps by attaching the assembly to an arm that can be moved in and out of place in front of the extruder and wherein the device has a locking mechanism that seals and releases the assembly from the extruder.

An installation for producing a profiled band based on several mixtures of elastomers of a different composition by means of coextrusion. The installation includes at least two extruders for supplying a mixture of elastomers to an extrusion head. The extrusion head comprises an assembly of at least two plates which are arranged side by side. Each plate having at least one cavity which enables the mixture from an extruder to be chaneled towards an outlet hole. The plates are arranged substantially transversely relative to the output direction of the mixture flows of the extruders in order to produce a discharge at approximately 90° of the mixture flow at the outlet of the screw of each extruder.

The number of studs composing the first plurality of studs is different from a number of studs composing the second plurality of studs.

A die plate changing system holds first and second die plates and selectively transitions the first and second die plates into and out of communication with a material source. The die plate changing system has a frame having a body defining a first recess that receives the first die plate and a second recess that receives the second die plate, where the frame is heats the first and second die plates when the first and second die plates are disposed in the first and second recesses, respectively. The die plate changing system also includes a movement assembly operably coupled to the frame and that selectively moves the frame between a first position, where the first die plate receives material from the material source, and a second position, where the second die plate receives the material from the material source.

The mandrel includes an end-side mouthpiece section arranged in an opening of the mouthpiece so as to form a circumferential gap between the end-side mouthpiece section and an opening in the mouthpiece, and the mandrel is pivotable about at least one axis transverse to the direction of extrusion to change a geometry of the circumferential gap.
