OVER MANDREL EXTRUSION FOR COMPOSITE PCP STATOR
Techniques for forming a helical rubber hose are provided. Such techniques include modified crosshead extrusion techniques in which an elastomer is melted, fed into a crosshead assembly, and extruded on a helical mandrel fed through the crosshead assembly to form a hose. In techniques described herein, relative axial and rotational motion of the mandrel and a die plate at or on the outlet or output of the crosshead assembly are kinematically matched such that the distance of relative axial movement of the mandrel per one revolution equals one pitch of the mandrel.

Die 5 includes first flat plate 11 having at least one first hole 13 and second flat plate 12 having at least one second hole 14, wherein first flat plate 11 and second flat plate 12 are arranged adjacent to each other along longitudinal axis X1 of the barrel, and at least either first flat plate 11 or second flat plate 12 is movable relative to the other flat plate such that an overlapping part of first hole 13 and second hole 14 can be varied.
METHOD FOR ADJUSTING PRESSURE OF MIXTURE OF GAS AND PASTE MATERIAL DISCHARGED FROM DISPENSER
A dispenser for discharging a mixture of gas and paste material includes: a nozzle part (2) provided in a tip end part of a body (11) and having a tip end opening; a flow path (4) for the mixture extending from an introduction part (5) for the mixture to the tip end opening through a hollow space of the nozzle part; a needle part (3) movable in the flow path of the nozzle part to open and close the flow path; a driving part (7, 8, and 9) that drives the needle part; and a stopper part (10, 14, and 16) that limits an operation range of the needle part. The nozzle part has a tapered section in which an inside diameter of the flow path of the nozzle part relative to an operation range of a tip end of the needle part decreases toward the tip end opening.
POLYPHENYLENE ETHER MELT EXTRUSION FORMED BODY AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING POLYPHENYLENE ETHER MELT EXTRUSION FORMED BODY
An object of the present invention is to provide a polyphenylene ether melt extrusion formed body which can be obtained by melt forming without mixing other resin components and has excellent properties such as mechanical strength, and a method for producing the same. The present invention relates to a polyphenylene ether melt extrusion formed body comprising a polyphenylene ether component which has a rearrangement structure having a continuous structure bonded at an ortho-position in a repeating unit continuously bonded at a para-position.
AN APPARATUS AND A METHOD FOR PRODUCING A MULTI-LAYER EXTRUDATE
An apparatus is intended to produce a multi-layer extrudate comprising an intermediate material interposed between at least two layers of outer material. The apparatus comprises an arrangement of ducts which includes a first duct and a second duct through which respective lateral flows of outer material can flow. The arrangement of ducts also includes a further duct through which a central flow comprising at least the intermediate material can flow. The apparatus further comprises at least one obstructing element for interacting at least with the central flow while the central flow is advancing in an advancement direction. The at least one obstructing element is movable with a movement having a component directed transversally to the advancement direction, so as to obstruct the central flow in the advancement direction at preset intervals.
Co-extruded multilayer articles including continuous layer and discontinuous layer
This disclosure describes co-extruded multilayer articles including at least one continuous layer and one discontinuous layer, as well as systems and techniques for the manufacture of co-extruded multilayer articles. For example, a co-extruded multilayer article is described that includes a body having a plurality of layers, where a first layer of the plurality of layers is formed from a first material and is continuous along a longitudinal axis of the body, and a second layer of the plurality of layers is formed from a second material and is discontinuously co-extruded along the longitudinal axis.
MATERIAL DEPOSITION SYSTEM FOR ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING
A material deposition system for additive manufacturing including an extruder that defines a first input passage for supplying a first material, a second input passage for supplying a second material, a chamber for combining the first and second materials to form a combined deposition material, and an extrusion port for extruding the combined deposition material. The system further includes an adjustable sleeve that is movable between a first position and a second position to vary the interaction between the first material and the second material in the chamber. For example, the adjustable sleeve may be configured to separate the first and second materials in the chamber, and can vary the point at which the materials interface with each other prior to deposition based on the sleeve position. Such a system may enable a varying degree of infiltration, encapsulation, or other interaction between the first and second materials prior to deposition.
MESH-PATTERNED RESIN MOLDED PRODUCT
Provided is a mesh-patterned resin molded product (10) used for encasing and protecting a hollow piping member provided in a vehicle or a small ship. The mesh-patterned resin molded product (10), in a case of an ordinary state where no load is applied to the mesh-patterned resin molded product (10), includes a plurality of first resin wired portions (11) that extend parallel to each other, and a plurality of second resin wired portions (12) that extend parallel to each other in a direction respectively intersecting the first resin wired portions (11).
