Systems and methods for making a reduced material container (105) are provided that hold a preform (130) adjacent to an open end (165) of the preform (130), stretch the preform (130), close a mold (110, 120) about the stretched preform (175) to form a truncated preform (185), and introduce a pressurized fluid (160) into the truncated preform (185) to expand the truncated preform (185) and form the reduced material container (105). A stretch rod (125) can be inserted into the preform (130) to mechanically stretching the preform (130). The mold (110, 120) accepts the preform (130) at a first end (135) thereof, has an open state and a closed state, and the closed state forms a cavity (140) defining an internal surface (145) having a second end (150) located remotely from the first end (135). A first length (155) is defined by a distance between the first end (135) and the second end (150), the stretch rod (125) mechanically stretching the preform (130) to a second length (170), the second length (170) being greater than the first length (155).
Method and apparatus for preparing a liner for a composite pressure container
Blow moulding a container, including extruding a tube shaped, hollow, elongated parison from an extrusion head having one free end; and closing a moulding equipment around the parison. The moulding equipment includes a moulding cavity and at least one aperture providing an opening into the moulding cavity from outside the moulding equipment. An excess section of the parison is arranged inside the at least one aperture. The free end of the parison is kept in place in the moulding equipment opposite the at least one aperture. The method includes holding the excess section of the parison within the at least one aperture via a holding force; cutting the parison outside the equipment, thereby providing an open end; arranging a blow pin to close the open end of the parison; and blowing pressurised gas from the blow pin into the parison, thereby forming a blow moulded container within the moulding cavity.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR PRODUCING FILLED CONTAINERS FROM PREFORMS
A method for producing filled containers (16) from preforms (13). Each of the preforms is transferred to a circulating molding and filling element (14) of a molding and filling station and is shaped into the respective container in a subsequent molding and filling process in a mold under the effect of pressure from a supplied filler, wherein the mold is designed in multiple parts, including a base mold (21) and mold sides (19, 20), and each container is clamped between the base mold at the bottom and the molding and filling element at the top at least at the end of the molding and filling process. The container is separated from the respective molding and filling element and the respective mold after the molding and filling process. The mold sides are removed from each container before the molding and filling element and the base mold are separated from the container.

A parison separation device (30) according to an embodiment includes a cutter (31) with a cutting edge (35), the cutting edge (35) extending in a one direction and facing upward, and a block (33), the cutter being attached to an upper part of the block (33), inclined surfaces (37) being formed on both sides of the block (33) in a thickness direction of the cutting edge (35), each of the inclined surfaces (37) including a component that is inclined increasingly downward as it gets closer to one direction side end, in which the parison separation device (30) is disposed on a discharging direction side of a discharging port of a parison and configured to cut the parison discharged from the discharging port.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PREPARING A LINER FOR A COMPOSITE PRESSURE CONTAINER
Blow moulding a container, including extruding a tube shaped, hollow, elongated parison from an extrusion head having one free end; and closing a moulding equipment around the parison. The moulding equipment includes a moulding cavity and at least one aperture providing an opening into the moulding cavity from outside the moulding equipment. Systems and methods for making a reduced material container are provided that hold a preform adjacent to an open end of the preform, stretch the preform, close a mold about the stretched preform to form a truncated preform, and introduce a pressurized fluid into the truncated preform to expand the truncated preform and form the reduced material container. A stretch rod can be inserted into the preform to mechanically stretching the preform. The mold accepts the preform at a first end thereof, has an open state and a closed state, and the closed state forms a cavity defining an internal surface having a second end located remotely from the first end. A first length is defined by a distance between the first end and the second end, the stretch rod mechanically stretching the preform to a second length, the second length being greater than the first length.
PARISON SEPARATION DEVICE, BLOW MOLDING MACHINE, AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING BLOW-MOLDED ARTICLE
A parison separation device (30) according to an embodiment includes a cutter (31) with a cutting edge (35), the cutting edge (35) extending in a one direction and facing upward, and a block (33), the cutter being attached to an upper part of the block (33), inclined surfaces (37) being formed on both sides of the block (33) in a thickness direction of the cutting edge (35), each of the inclined surfaces (37) including a component that is inclined increasingly downward as it gets closer to one direction side end, in which the parison separation device (30) is disposed on a discharging direction side of a discharging port of a parison and configured to cut the parison discharged from the discharging port.
Parison supply device and supply method
A parison supply device that continuously supplies, to a blow molding die, parison sections of a parison discharged from an extrusion die, the parison section having a specified length. The parison supply device includes a plurality of tension chucks and a tension chuck operation unit that operates the plurality of tension chucks. The tension chuck operation unit causes the individual tension chucks to perform a repeated operation of grasping the parison at a first position near the extrusion die and moving to a second position separated from the extrusion die such that, before the preceding tension chuck is separated by a set distance from the extrusion die at the second position, the following tension chuck grasps the parison at the first position, and then the parison section is supplied to the blow molding die.
