METHOD FOR ANGULAR ORIENTATION OF HOLLOW BODIES IN A PLANT FOR MANUFACTURING CONTAINERS
A method for regulation of the angular position of hollow bodies in an installation for production of containers. The hollow bodies are moved by individual support members each of which is equipped with means for causing the hollow body to turn about its axis. The method includes a first step of measuring an angular offset of at least one particular hollow body relative to a reference angular position in a measurement zone. The method also includes a second step of compensating of the angular position of the subsequent hollow bodies in a compensation zone upstream of said measurement zone as a function of the angular offset measured for the at least one particular hollow body.
METHOD FOR ORIENTING A PREFORM IN A MOULD
A method for orienting a preform of axis in a forming mold of a blowing machine, a neck of the preform being provided with at least one marker, the method including (i) installing the preform in the mold; (ii) detecting the current angular position of the preform by determining the angle of rotation through which the preform has to be rotated to reach the reference angular position thereof; and (iii) orienting the preform about the axis thereof in relation to the mold until a reference angular position is reached.
Ergonomic integral handle assembly
A method of controlling a preform for stretch blow-moulding a container with an integrally formed handle; the preform comprising a body portion and the integrally formed handle; the preform transferred from a perform supply source to a blow moulding die for blowing the container; the method including the steps of passing the preform through a preform handle orientating apparatus, transferring the preform to a preform transportation system, maintaining orientation of the preform handle imposed by the perform handle orientating apparatus during transfer to the perform transportation system and transfer to the blow moulding die, rotating the preforms during transport along the transportation system past an array of preform heating elements while shielding the integrally formed handle from excessive exposure to the heating elements, transferring the preform from the transportation system to the blow moulding die, and wherein the handle comprises a loop of orientable material extending between an upper connection region and a lower connection region on the body portion of the preform; characterised in that the handle has a generally uniform cross section from proximate the lower connection region to a gradually widening cross section approaching the upper connection region; the cross section reaching and maintaining a maximum width proximate the upper connection region.
HANDLE-ORIENTING PREFORM FEEDING MECHANISM AND ORIENTING PREFORM FEEDING METHOD FOR A BOTTLE PREFORM WITH A HANDLE
Provided are a handle-orienting preform feeding mechanism and orienting preform feeding method for a bottle preform with a handle. Under the combined action of the axial rotation of a plastic bottle preform and a handle positioning structure on a preform feeding tray, the handle of the plastic bottle preform with an integrated handle (especially a PET plastic bottle preform with an integrated handle) is positioned so that the plastic bottle preform with an integrated handle enters a heating machine and a bottle blowing machine of the next process according to the predetermined orientation. Accordingly, the wrong orientation of the integrated handle of the plastic bottle preform is avoided so that a mechanical arm can grasp the plastic bottle preform correctly and place the plastic bottle preform at the correct position of a bottle blowing mold. Thus the plastic bottle preform can be blown successfully.
Method for manufacturing resin container, and device for manufacturing resin container
This method for manufacturing a resin container includes injection molding a plurality of preforms in an arrangement direction, a adjusting the temperature of the preforms, and molding containers from the preforms. The manufacturing method includes, between the injection molding and the temperature adjusting, changing the orientation of the preforms aligned in the arrangement direction to an orientation aligned in a conveying direction.
METHOD FOR ANGULAR INDEXING OF A PREFORM
A process for angular indexing of a pre-form having a body and a neck. The process includes a step of marking the neck of the pre-form which consists of production of at least one reference point on the neck of the pre-form. The process also includes a step of a heating station taking charge of the pre-form, during which the pre-form is transported along a heating course by a support unit, known as a spinner, which makes it possible to turn the pre-form around its axis, and during which the body of the pre-form is heated. The marking step is carried out during the step of taking charge, when the pre-form, supported by a spinner, travels along the heating course.
Continuous blow moulding machine, preforms, system and process
A continuously rotating, non-symmetric preform feed, stretch-blow-moulding machine dedicated to the stretch-blow-moulding of containers from non-symmetric injection moulded preforms; the non-symmetric preforms including an integral handle extending from a first junction point to a second junction point on a body of the preform; the body of the preform and the integral handle constituted from the same material.
Starwheel preform orienting apparatus
A preform orienting apparatus for a preform having an integral handle is disclosed. The preform orienting apparatus has a stationary outer guide comprising a friction strip configured to contact a portion of the preform and pick up the preform by the portion of the preform, and configured to rotate the preform, and a moving starwheel assembly comprising a plurality of lugs disposed on an underneath side of the moving starwheel, wherein at least one lug of the plurality of lugs is configured to stop rotation of the preform at a predisposed position of the integral handle.
Apparatus and method for producing plastic containers with non-circular cross-sections
Apparatus for producing plastic containers has a heating device having a transport device for transporting the plastic preforms singly along a predefined transport path. The transport device has a plurality of holding devices for holding the plastic preforms, and at least one heating unit for heating the plastic preforms, wherein furthermore a rotating device is provided which rotates the plastic preforms held by the holding devices and is connected to a forming device, which transforms the plastic preforms transported by the heating device into plastic containers. The apparatus has an alignment device which enables alignment of the rotational position of the plastic preforms with respect to their longitudinal direction relative to the holding devices holding these plastic preforms and/or the apparatus has a rotational position alignment device arranged along the transport path which enables alignment of a rotational position of the holding devices with the plastic preforms arranged thereon.
