BOTTLE, INJECTION BLOW MOLDING CORE ROD FOR THE BOTTLE AND RELATED METHOD
A bottle for containing an item, generally a pharmaceutical product, wherein the bottle includes a body having a bottom wall and sidewalls, a neck extending from a top portion of the sidewalls and a thread defined on the neck. The neck defining a mouth of the bottle, an internal surface and an external surface. A neck thickness is defined between the internal surface and the external surface. The thread defines a thread thickness. The thread thickness is substantially the same as the neck thickness.
DOUBLE CONTAINER ASSEMBLY AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREFOR
Provided is a manufacturing method for a double container that allows easy manufacturing with a molding device not significantly different from conventional devices and that can, at a lower cost than the processing cost of conventional technology, very easily and reliably form, in a comparatively rigid outer container and in a double container that allows, inside the outer container, capacity to be varied with respect to the amount of content, an opening for allowing external air to enter. When a pair of partial molds are brought near each other in order to form a split mold, at least part of the mating faces of the pair of partial molds forms a projection by sandwiching a small outer diameter portion of a parison, a gap that passes between the double container is created by cutting off the projection, and the gap is opened and expanded by screwing on a cap.
COMPONENT WITH CUSTOMIZED EXTERIOR SURFACE AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURE
A component with a customized exterior surface and a method and tool for manufacturing the same are provided. The component may be formed via a plastic forming process with a forming tool, such that it has a surface texture formed on its exterior surface. The forming tool has at least one tool surface, which defines a mold cavity. The tool surface has a textured layer coupled thereto, such that the textured layer directly contacts a moldable material supplied to the mold cavity. The textured layer has a surface texture formed thereon resulting in the surface texture present on the textured layer being transferred to and formed on the exterior surface of the component during forming. The textured layer may be changeable or replaceable with respect to the at least one tool surface, such that a single tool may form components with different surface textures formed on the exterior surface thereof.
DOUBLE-WALLED CONTAINER MANUFACTURING METHOD
The present invention is a double-walled container manufacturing method in which when a pair of partial molds is brought towards each other to be assembled to form a split mold, at least a portion of the mating surfaces of the pair of partial molds clamp a parison at two side portions that are at horizontal positions facing each other. The method is able to manufacture the container easily with a molding device that does not differ significantly from the past and, in a double-walled container obtained from a relatively rigid outer container and a flexible inner container the volume of which can change according to the amount of contents filled inside said outer container, an opening for introducing outside air can be formed very easily and reliably at a lower cost than the processing cost of prior art.
Biaxially oriented blow-molded pressure vessels
A method of manufacturing a pressure vessel that includes heating a preform formed of a thermoplastic polymer, inserting a blow pin assembly that includes a bung portion and a plunger portion into an opening of the heated preform, clamping the heated preform between the bung portion and sections of a blow mold, extending the plunger portion into an interior of the heated preform to stretch the heated preform in the blow mold, and blowing air into the stretched preform under pressure to form the pressure vessel such that: (a) the pressure vessel includes a tank having a neck portion, a cylindrical body portion having a diameter of at least about 200 mm, and a bottom portion, (b) at least the thermoplastic polymer in the cylindrical body portion is biaxially oriented, and (c) threads are formed in the neck portion. Also a pressure vessel formed in accordance with the method.
STRETCH BLOW MOULDING METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A PLASTIC CONTAINER AND A PLASTIC CONTAINER WHICH IS MANUFACTURED IN A STRETCH BLOW MOULDING METHOD
A stretch blow moulding method for manufacturing a plastic container, wherein a preform, configured in an essentially tubular manner with a neck part, is inserted into a mould cavity of a blow moulding tool of a stretch blow moulding machine. The preform is stretched with a stretching mandrel and is inflated in accordance with the mould cavity by overpressure with a fluid. A dome connects onto a container section which is provided with at least one structure which projects or recedes with respect to the container wall and is separated away. With the stretch blow moulding method, at least one section of the structure is axially compressed to a settable extent within the mould cavity before the plastic container is removed from the mould.
Multi-layer preform and container
A container including a finish at a first end of the container defining an opening. A base is at a second end of the container that is opposite to the first end. A shoulder extends from the finish. A body defines an internal volume and extends from the shoulder to the base. A single layer material portion of the container extends from the first end to form at least a portion of the finish. A multi-layer material portion of the container extends from the single layer material portion to the second end of the container and across the base. A transition area is spaced apart from the first end where the single layer material portion transitions to the multi-layer material portion.
