MOLDING METHOD AND MOLDING APPARATUS FOR RESIN MOLDED ARTICLE
A molding method for a resin molded article includes: a step of sandwiching a sheet-shaped resin in a molten state extruded downward by a pair of rollers, and sending out downward the sheet-shaped resin in the molten state by a rotational driving of the rollers so as to allow a first stretching; a step of drawing downward the sheet-shaped resin in the molten state sent out downward so as to allow a second stretching; a step of disposing the sheet-shaped resin in the molten state that is drawn in a side portion of a mold disposed below the pair of rollers; and a step of molding the sheet-shaped resin into a shape conforming to a mold shape by depressurizing a sealed space formed between the sheet-shaped resin in the molten state and the mold and/or pressurizing the sheet-shaped resin toward the mold.

THERMOFORMING DEVICE, MOLD ASSEMBLY, MOLD, AND METHOD
A thermoforming device is described. It relates to a mold assembly including a first and second mold, and to a mold that can be used in a thermoforming device. It also relates to a method for thermoforming a product. The thermoforming device is characterized in that the thermoforming device comprises a second pre-stretcher, in addition to a first pre-stretcher and a calibration element, and that the second pre-stretcher is at least partially and moveably arranged in a second mold body. A movement relative to the second mold body and towards the same forming cavity of the first pre-stretcher, the second pre-stretcher, and the calibration element, can be individually controlled, and the second pre-stretcher at least partially surrounds the first pre-stretcher and the calibration element.

Resin molding system and resin molding method
A resin molding system 1 comprises a gripping device 3 provided with a gripping frame 30 for gripping a resin sheet material 2, a heating device for heating the resin sheet material 2 and a molding device for clamping a lower die 61 and an upper die, and affixing the resin sheet material 2 to a substrate 63. The molding device is provided with: a lowering device for lowering the gripping device 3 and causing the resin sheet material 2 gripped by the gripping frame 30 to approach the lower die 61; and a pair of bent posts 67, 68 which are provided on both Y-direction sides of the lower die 61, and which come in contact with portions of the gripping frame 30 when the gripping device 3 is lowered, and which convexly bend the gripping frame 30 upward as viewed from the side along the Y-direction.

Station for thermoforming thermoplastic sheet-like blanks for thermoforming lines and a corresponding method
A station for feeding closing seals for containers, which includes at least one fixed magazine of seals which is provided with an outlet from which the seals can be taken individually. The station includes a carousel for feeding seals which can rotate with respect to a first central rotation axis and is provided with pickers which are radially spaced apart from the first rotation axis. The pickers are individually rotatable about a second rotation axis which is not parallel to the first axis of the carousel. During the rotation of the carousel, at least one picker can is configured to rotate about the second axis from a position for taking the seal from the magazine to a position for releasing the seal.
Crystal Clear High Barrier Thermoformed Plastic Bottle
A transparent thermoformed high barrier plastic bottle is provided for use in storing food and beverages, personal care products, health care products, and other applications that require excellent transparency and barrier properties. The transparent thermoformed high barrier plastic bottle includes first and second outer layers formed using a transparent polyester or polyester copolymer; an inner nanolayer sequence including a plurality of nanolayers a) including ethylene vinyl alcohol, alternating with nanolayers b) including at least one of ethylene ethyl acrylate, low density polyethylene and linear low density polyethylene, each of the nanolayers b) having a degree of crystallinity less than about 45%; and adhesive layers between each of the two outer layers and the inner nanolayer sequence. A method for producing a transparent thermoformed high barrier plastic bottle is also provided.
Method of thermoforming a foil, forming tool, thermoforming tool, installation for thermoforming, container and brewing container
Method of forming, in particular a thermoforming method, a foil into a container, in particular a brewing container, especially a coffee capsule, using a plug assist and/or pressure difference in axial main forming direction, directing the foil into a forming tool creating a blank with a cavity and pressing the foil towards the forming tool bottom in order to create a floor for the blank and characterising the method in that the floor of the blank experiences a material distribution, especially a material shifting and/or material compression, during which a constant pressure difference within the blank's cavity is guaranteed and a circumferential annular gap is created.
SIGNALING ARRANGEMENTS EMPLOYING MOLDED THERMOPLASTICS
A thermoplastic resin is molded to define a container bearing a surface 2D code signal, such as a digital watermark pattern. In some arrangements, the mold dimensions are tailored, and process parameters are selected, so that an indentation in the mold gives rise to a corresponding indentation—rather than a corresponding protrusion—in the shaped plastic. In other arrangements, a metal mold is provided with a patterned resin on its surface to define the 2D code signal. The resin may take the form of a rigid or non-rigid insert that can be removed or re-worked to change the code signal without changing the metal mold. A variety of other improvements and arrangements are also detailed.
