Method of making a half shell
A method for producing a half-shell that includes an insert member for a high-pressure vessel using a mould having a first mould section forming a female mould. The method includes laying a pre-heated first plastic sheet on the first mould section; pressing or adhering, via one or more of a partial vacuum or a pressure, the first plastic sheet onto the first mould section; positioning the plastic of the first plastic sheet in areas behind a back-taper of the insert member at a lateral distance from the insert member, or positioning the insert member, after the pressing or adhering, so that plastic of the first plastic sheet is disposed in areas behind a back-taper of the insert member at a lateral distance from the insert member; and pressing or adhering, via a slide, partial vacuum, or pressure, the plastic of the first plastic sheet behind the back-taper and laterally distanced from the insert member, onto the insert member so that a space behind the back-taper of the insert member is filled with the plastic.
Reclosable package as well as thermoform packaging machine and method
A reclosable package, and a machine and method for making that reclosable package that includes a tray for receiving a product and a substantially horizontal edge, wherein the horizontal edge extends circumferentially on an upper side of the tray and has a clamping portion releasably connected thereto. The package includes a top film across the tray, the edge and the clamping portion, and which may be releasably connected to the edge by a first sealed seam to seal the tray in a gas-tight manner. The top film may be connected to the clamping portion by a second sealed seam. A side face of the tray may include an undercut provided with a projection, the projection being suitable for locking the clamping portion in position when the clamping portion has been detached from the edge and is located between the projection of the undercut and the side face of the tray.
Molding tool and molding method for producing containers with undercuts
A molding tool (1000), in particular a thermoforming tool, for producing a container (10) is provided. The molding tool comprises a mold bottom (200) and a mold insert (100) receiving the mold bottom (200), wherein the mold insert (100) is constructed of at least two mold insert parts (110, 120) that together with the mold bottom (200) define a cavity (300) provided for reshaping a two-dimensional web of material into a container, wherein a first mold insert part (110) is mounted stationary in the molding tool (1000) and a second mold insert part is axially movable in the molding tool (1000).

Process for making a luggage shell from self-reinforced thermo-plastic material
Process of making a plastic component (1), in particular luggage shell, from self-reinforced thermoplastic material, to a plastic component (1) made of self-reinforced thermoplastic material and an apparatus for making such a plastic component, in particular luggage shell (7). The invention provides a new product and process for manufacturing same on the basis of self-reinforced thermoplastic material by means of the step of tensioning said material (lamina), at least partially tensioning said lamina during all follow-up component shaping and/or molding steps up to a release of a component pre-form shape from the remainder lamina, to form the component. The present invention allow the manufacturing of an ultra-light weight luggage shell (7) on the basis of using self-reinforced thermoplastic material, the manufacturing of same can be further enhanced by permanently tensioning said material during all manufacturing steps up to the final finishing of the product.

Systems and methods for containers with locking lug and recess
Thermoformed locking assembly comprising a first web portion including locking lug having lug undercut defining a cantilevered lug ledge having lug engaging surface, second web portion including locking recess having recess undercut defining an opposing recess ledge having recess engaging surface and a lug stop opposite the recess undercut. Locking recess configured to receive locking lug and lug stop configured to position locking lug in locking recess with the lug engaging surface in engagement with the recess engaging surface when first web portion is moved towards second web portion.
THERMOFORMED TUBE HEAD, TUBE AND MANUFACTURING METHOD
The invention relates to a tube head (1, 2) intended to form a packaging, the head (3, 6) being intended to be welded to a tubular skirt (8, 9) in order to form the said packaging, and the tube head (1 2) being thermoformed from a sheet (20, 21). The invention also relates to a method for manufacturing such a tube head (1, 2) and a tube with said head (3, 6).
Forming station with push-in unit integrated in the male die part and method
A forming station for producing a packaging trough by thermoforming at least an area of a film web positioned between a forming tool upper part and a forming tool lower part of the forming station. A male die part of the forming tool upper part may be moved in a vertical direction and inserted into a forming space of a female die part of the forming tool lower part. The packaging trough is produced by deforming the film web between the male die part and an inner wall of the forming space of the female die part. In an inserted condition of the male die part within the female die art, a push-in unit is extended from the male die part towards the inner wall of the forming space at an angular orientation relative to the vertical direction.
