DISPLAY INSERTS, OVERLAYS, AND GRAPHICAL USER INTERFACES FOR MULTIMEDIA SYSTEMS
A disclosed digital media device operational at user premises to receive media signals from a media source for presentation via endpoint devices such as a television display. The digital media device can include gateway and digital media management functionality and can be referred to as a gateway and digital media device. The device offers application services obtained over a wide area network and a user premises network. The digital media device may form a composite signal from the media signal and application service information, for example, for a composite audio and/or video signal for television type presentation to the user. The digital media device may receive a selection signal based on the presentation, for transmission to the application service provider device or to the media source. The media device also offers a GUI presenting a moveable arrangement of icons for selectively accessing application services.

Skin foam-in-place foamed article and production method thereof
There is provided a skin foam-in-place foamed article comprising a pad (15) and a bag-like outer material (20) covering the pad (15). The outer material (20) has a top layer (21) and a liner layer (22) made of a foamed resin. The liner layer (22) has a closed cell structure. A pad-side skin layer (27a) having a density higher than that of a bulk layer (26) is provided on the liner layer (22), on a side of the pad (15). A corona treatment is applied to the pad-side skin layer (27a).

Method for manufacturing high tenacity fiber and high tenacity fiber manufactured thereby
The present invention relates to a method of manufacturing a high tenacity yarn and a high tenacity yarn manufactured thereby. More particularly, the present invention relates to: a method of manufacturing a high tenacity yarn, the method including coating a yarn made of at least one of nylon and polyester to obtain a coated yarn, wherein the coating material contains 3 to 35 parts by weight of a reinforcing agent composed of a mineral material per 100 parts by weight of a coating liquid containing polyurethane; and a high tenacity yarn manufactured thereby. Therefore, it is possible to manufacture a yarn having high tenacity and improved processability by processing a nylon or polyester yarn having a relatively low tenacity as compared with a high modulus polyethylene (HMPE) yarn by use of a yarn coating technique, and further to reduce production cost.
CORONA TREATMENT SYSTEM
According to an aspect of the present disclosure, a color sensor is provided for sensing whether a ground roller in a corona treatment system needs to be serviced. The color sensor is capable of detecting imperfections which have changed the reflectance level of the ground roller from a predefined level. According to another aspect of the present disclosure, if a determination is made that the ground roller needs to be serviced, then an alarm is activated and/or the operation of the corona treatment system is ceased.

Microwell array articles and methods of use
The disclosure provides microstructured articles and methods useful for detecting an analyte in a sample. The articles include microwell arrays. The articles can be used with an optical system component in methods to detect or characterize an analyte.
Oriented polypropylene film with improved blocking resistance
The present disclosure is directed to a film formulation that resulted in a substantially non-migratory cold seal release film with improved blocking resistance. Specifically, the multilayered biaxially oriented polypropylene film can include a core layer of polypropylene homopolymer; a first outer layer on one side of the core layer that can be suitable for sealing, printing, or coating; and a second outer layer on the opposite side of the core layer that is a blocking resistant layer comprising thermoplastic polymers which reduce blocking tendency.
PROCESS FOR PREPARATION OF OXYGEN BARRIER FILM
The invention relates to a process for the preparation of an oxygen barrier film having an oxygen barrier layer and a treated substrate, comprising the steps of: a) subjecting a polyolefin substrate to a surface treatment to obtain the treated substrate wherein the surface under the parts of the curves corresponding to the C—O, C—N and C═O groups is at least 10% based on the total surface under the curve as obtained by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), b) applying an aqueous or hydroalcoholic coating composition comprising 0.1 to 25 wt % of polyvinyl alcohol, 0.1 to 30 wt % of a metal alkoxide and optional silicate minerals on the treated substrate obtained by step a) and c) drying the coating composition to obtain the oxygen barrier layer resulting in the oxygen barrier film, wherein the amount of the optional silicate minerals in the coating composition is less than 10 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the polyvinyl alcohol in the coating composition.
